In reply to: [NextCellent Gallery - NextGEN Legacy] Plugin Vanished from WP LibraryGood news indeed, if true. I recall a similar post in December 2016, so will hold my breathe with some hope and see what happens this week.
I’ve been experimenting with moving back to NextGen Gallery but have found that NextCellent and NextGen appear to handle custom sized (array) featured thumbnail images in a different way, which means images added under NextCellent like this “the_post_thumbnail( array(330, 400) );” won’t display when you re-enable NextGen (I’d have to manually re-apply the featured images to thousands of posts in order to overcome this).
However otherwise NextGen does now handle featured images properly, including WPs new auto-resizing codes for responsive design, which is something that NextCellent doesn’t seem able to do. Still I’d rather keep using NextCellent as it’s both faster and more lightweight for my server.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Sitemap Stopped Working After Update to v4.5Ok this seems to be an issue with the latest version of Firefox v52.0 since the sitemap loads fine under other browsers. Very odd.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] PHP7 Support?Same problem noted here. I don’t think it breaks the plugin once PHP7 is activated, but it should be removed from the code.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Is WP Super Cache team planning to update for wp 4.7?Same question, this is a hugely popular plugin but it didn’t receive many updates last year. Some other plugins are starting to do a better job in many areas, but I still find that WP Super Cache is the best all-rounder and can cope with some of the more unusual WP setups where others would fail.
Fixed for me too, thanks so much.

In reply to: [NextCellent Gallery - NextGEN Legacy] PHP7 compatibilityI second this, doesn’t look as if the plugin has been updated for awhile now and it’s still the best alternative to NextGen around. But PHP7 support is about to become vital.

In reply to: [WP-PageNavi] How to Add Page Numbers into Title? The normal wordpress system doesn’t allow you to split your POSTs into multiple pages in the way the PageNavi mod does and so their page numbering system doesn’t seem to register it properly.

In reply to: [NextCellent Gallery - NextGEN Legacy] flooding serverI’ve seen something similar.. need to examine further though to be sure.
I upgraded to 1.9.21 to ..23, did the database upgrade, cleared the cache and the CSS formats are all still a bit wonky. I don’t get the one-column issue but the CSS doesn’t render right at all in the admin interface (same on IE11 and Firefox).
Luckily only running 1.9.21 on my public system, so I’ll wait till a proper fix is out since .23 doesn’t seem to correct it all.
