This issue seem not plugin related, something with your WP installation. I’ve seen some similar behavior few years ago on woocommerce sites with product categories. Don’t remember now what was the issue but it was WP installation related. Hope it give you a starting point.

to this:

It’s done! New attribute has been added: menu_bg_hover it can be used to specify hover/focus color by default it set to gray.
In order to activate this please reinstall your plugin, delete it and use Add new plugin (use search for go gallery) and install it again.

It’s done! Use menu_button attribute in the short-code like this: [go_gallery menu_button=”YOUR BUTTON CAPTION” …
