Brian thank you for finding that, I’ll apply the patch now. As you are aware, I only ressurected the plugin, and I have ofcourse added atleast a new feature recently, if you check my todo section you can see I have translations planned.

Again thanks for your help in the bug tracking.

Is the error different from the one before? What other plugins do you have installed? Which version of WordPress are you using?

I need more data to make the fixes more precise.

I’m researching the translation plugins that are available now. I have maybe two that will do the deed. The one I’m most interested in is the one that converts your blog to your language and makes the translations available to the search engines for seo advantages.

I’ve looked into it and the freebase database doesn’t support other languages for the topics, they have the capability but they have not done it.

I can add an automatic translation routine to it however it’ll likely generate grammatically incorrect constructs for your language.

If that is something you’d like, let me know and if so I’ll put it on the front burner.

I think it is more to do with your browser, for this reason I have two browsers installed. Try it with the other browser and see if the plugin registered the change. I am sure that you find that it did, although your primary browser did not. Thus making it a strange cache issue.

Ironically I found that this is caused by some kind of cache issue on the host combined with the browser. The only solution I’ve found for this scenario is to perform a “forced refresh” with ctrl-f5 on windows & linux systems.

Believe it or not I’ve struggled with that issue. The problem comes with limited capability of the image generation in the GD library. Other than the obvious create your own image that I have provided to assuage that situation the only other alternative is to go with a CSS driven corner ribbon. Which if you check my ToDo section is planned.

That being said if you experience in PHP and would like to make changes and submit them, I can add you to the project so you can work the plugin directly.

Wow, shoot the man down why don’t you instead of truly answering the question. I want to know too, is there a blogless theme? I don’t care if it mentions posts widgets in the sidebar and I do know about the static pages…

I would like a theme that is cms in nature and highly configurable through option panels as to the layout of the thing.

My bad, I thought it was Wordfence that was the culprit, especially after seeing a related thread. However, it was a problem with GoDaddy’s 4GH hosting, apparently the performed an upgrade or server tweak without notifying anyone. All problems have been resolved.

Can either one of you post a complete code sample from your project so we can duplicate your error and find a work around for it?

Update:
After about 18 hours of solid coding (hacking), I’ve managed to kludge together the right PHP commands to create the Ribbon Maker. I could still use co-collaborators in the project as I am still too rusty. This plugin will be maintained far into the future as it has extreme potential. For that reason alone, I need more people on the team, as the project will be too cumbersome for one individual.

Look at it this way, if you are a contributing co-collaborator (author), you’ll have links back to your own site in the author uri. At a minimum that is worth all the headache and mind racking you will be doing as a co-author of the Ribbon Maker plugin.

That said why not go over to my website at download the new Ribbon Maker 1.0 at https://bowierocks.com/ribbon-maker and let me know what you think. In the next few hours it’ll soon have subversion access and it’ll be in the main repository.

BTW, you must have the GD library fully installed and enabled in your PHP installation in order to use this. I am also fairly certain that it will work on WP 3.x.x and higher. However, I’d like to know if it works on lower models too.
