You can set your domain to redirect to yoursite/samplepage. I am not sure how you can change it other way

You can just set the homepage to be any static page if you open Dashboard/ Settings/Reading.

There is button above the editor, you can access the images from Media by clicking it.

There is something in the layout that breaks the wrapper div, I can′t find it that way. You can try to back up your changes and your comments.php and to try it with the original file. If it works this means that you have something wrong in your comments layout and this will help you to find it

Have you edited these two files – single and page.php? If you are not try first to disable twitter and facebook plugin to be sure that they are not the reason for the problem
