well, i was too desperate with the problem that i reinstalled wrodpress again. Version 3.5.2.
Even before install Custom Post Type UI plugin again, the Media library is broken (I even created a new database to avoid problems)
So the issue is not with the puglin; and apparently it is a problem with version 3.5.2 of wordpress ??

In reply to: WP v. 3.5.2. media library uploaded files are broken imagesim afraid that i was “wrong”.
The way i fixed the problem worked because i was using version 3.5.1
Now i’m developing a new website using version 3.5.2 and i get the same problem with the Media Library.
– By clicking ‘Add new’ in the Media library, i can manage to upload an image but when i click ‘Attach’, nothing is displayed in the pop up window, therefore i cannot attach the image.
– By Clicking “Set featured image” inside a page, i don’t see any files in the Media library and, if i click ‘Upload Files’ to add a new image, i get this error message : “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”I have tried:
– Reinstall WordPress (3.5.2 again)
– NOT install custom post types
– check hosting permissions for the “uploads” folderno success ??
i may come back to 3.5.1 (i knew i shouldnt have use the new version, i hate updates and upgrades XD)if anyone finds out, please post it!! (If the topic doesn’t “get” closed without being resolved…)
thanks for the idea! lol, didnt think of it!
i let you know if i get it to work after remover spaces.thanks you very much
well… i have deleted all the custom post types, and all the categories inside, went to the database and made sure there was no taxonomy or category after deleting.
I create them all again, 2 custom post types and 4 categories in each paying attention to the slugs, nothing is called type or repeated.
And still the same problem.
??
any ideas?
thanks!i have realized a new thing.
I created 5 custom post types, and 3-4 categories for each custom post type. I have just realised that some categories are called the same in different custom post type
For instance:
the custom post types “Home page” and “Contact page” both have a category called “bottom”.Is these causing trouble? What do you think?
thanks for your time!
when i go to my database, i check the table “wp_term_taxonomy”, and these are the taxonomies that i have:
category
nav_menu
post_tag
home page
contact page
about us page
booking pageis any of these taxonomies a problem?
thanks a lot in advanced!!i have the same problem, but i do not have a taxonomy called ‘type’

In reply to: How to remove index.php from URLswell, it was a different problem in the end…
The new hosting, with Namesco, does not use Apache, so the ‘.htaccess’ file was useless…
The support team told me that the equivalent file to ‘.htaccess’ for their Zeus (ein?) server was rewrite.script, and they provided me with the equivalent code as well.
Even after doing this, i can still see “…/index.php/…” in the middle of the URLs, and in the section ‘Settings -> Permalinks’, except for the Default and Custom Structure of permalinks.
The support team told me that the only way to get rid of the “…/index.php/…” was either use the Default Structure or the Custom Structure for the permalinks. Then so be it.
i hope this can help somehow whenever.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WP v. 3.5.2. media library uploaded files are broken imagesyou are right @esmi, i didnt realize!
Finally i fixed my problem.
After migrating my website from one hosting to another, all my images looked broken in the Media Library. Even if i would have added a new image, it looked broken as well.
It was a problem with the hosting, i had to change the permission of the folder “uploads” to be 775.
The hosting provider is Namesco, which gave me other problems as well…
thanks!Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Custom post types creates pages? Thanks for your answer.
I installed the plugin and Added a new custom post type (name, label, singular label and description).
Then i could see on the admin panel, the Custom post type, on the left.
Inside, if i click “Add new” what i get is a page (i expected a post).
so my question is: is there any way to get a post instead of a page, so i can add categories and tags (for example)?i hope i was a bit more clear this time.
and thanks in advance for your answer!Forum: Plugins
