Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: “Connection Information” ProblemsI am on a different host (goDaddy) with a vitual dedicated servers. -So no on their public servers-. I have been having the same issues as well. I must say it is rather frustrating. The issues seem to revolve around plug-in’s and upgrades. Please if any of you find resolution to your issues, if you can post those resolutions because I suspect that we are not the only ones having these issues.

In reply to: Does anyone know the meaning of the following message?renkessler,
were you able to fix your issues? I am having the exact same issues as you and although it is nice to know that it may very well be a MySQL plug in issue, it still does not offer me a solution to my problems. I am seeing this issue pop up all the time and most recently when attempting to set up a poll. In the case of setting up a poll, it simply does not allow me to get past this error code.

In reply to: Change links in the right columnJust in-case anyone is following up on this post I was using the template for Piano Black 1.0.3. I have made several significant visual changes to the theme which you can seen at blog.virtualwhistler.com.

In reply to: Change links in the right columnOK,
I read a few other posts regarding this subject and the answer comes down to reading the sidebar.php file and deleting the none dynamic segments that are unwanted. I am a designer and PHP is rather foreign to me. I do know a good amount of HTML in moderation and was able to get the gist of things and went ahead and deleted the appropriate lines.
I got it right fortunately but I did have a back-up of the old file just in case.

In reply to: Change links in the right columnLike you were, I am now questioning how this is done. If you could forward what you figured out that would be great for both myself and others who may follow me.
Much thanks in advance.

Anyone having similar issues, I have a question for you. Did you change your permalinks? I did but I did not relate it to my problems until I was tipped off by this link. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/301163?replies=2
I changed back to the default permalink and both of my issues went away. In the post I just referenced they did site a fix but I could not be bothered, I am just sticking with the default. I have had enough problems with this install as it is.
