Yes, we know, Steven.
And it would be great if one could remove the rating when editing the review post. Or maybe even when making a new one. To have only some review text without specific star count and without affecting the average rating.
Please consider an option to remove the rating even if the discussion topic is kept. Currently, I can only change my rating to something specific, but I would like to withdraw my rating after it was made irrelevant by plugin update.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hover notesNot sure if this is the same problem, but we updated Woocommerce from 8.6 to 9.2, and the problem with that hover occurred.
It’s not an issue that it doesn’t appear, but, previously, it showed the last one of the order notes.
However, now it just shows a generic text of what the status mean (which is info of little value, because people who work with the orders every day, have already learned the status meanings) – as in your screenshot.
The last note (which includes notes manually added by our shop administrators or vai API by related systems) is a much more useful information for us. We would like to get it back either in that tooltip, or as a separate column altogether.
We are not ready to share sensitive information about our website, so I did some debugging myself.
The problem is that these files do not have a file extension.
If the Filters are disabled, everything works all right.
As I wrote, I have the Filters enabled and have added the upload directory path there (“wp-content/uploads”).
I’ve left the extensions filter empty, as I do not want anything filtered by extensions. However, the filter is excluding all the files without an extension in this case.
Thank you for explaining your reasoning!
I’m adding one star for considering the interests of the overall ecosystem (although supporting newer versions doesn’t mean not supporting older ones).
I would leave forcing the PHP version up to WordPress, if I were you (which I’m not, of course). You point out that the existing users of your plugin would just not get updates past 1.9.3, however you’re missing out on new users. If I go to “Add plugin” and search for “notifications”, I get 5043 plugins listed. Your plugin comes up in the 8th place, however it is the only one on the first page that is marked as incompatible with my installation. On the first three pages, among 108 plugins, there are just 2 more like that.
As per this article – https://peq42.com/blog/wordpress-to-finally-start-dropping-old-versions-of-php/ – about 50% of WordPress installations are still using PHP 7 (April 2024). Which means you’re needlessly (unless your plugin actually makes good use of the new PHP 8+ language features) losing out on half of potential new users for your plugin.
BTW, where has WordPress, as a project, announced that PHP 7.4 will be dropped within the next 8-months? The latest WordPress is supporting even 7.2. It seems unlikely that they’ll drop support for 7.2., 7.3, and 7.4 just after 8 months now.
(AI really seems to be utilized widely.)
You’re so quick, Mohammed!
Deactivating all the plugins did not help – those files are still being dropped.

In reply to: [Loco Translate] Filter translations marked with a warning signI noticed that I can sort the translations table by clicking on the source text or translation header. There is space reserved at the beginning for the cloud or warning icons, but they are not in their own column. If they were, the JS sorter would probably easily allow to sort by the icons as well, which would solve this problem.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Problem with Sourcebuster JS and ModSecurityYou can also just disable “WP Admin -> Woocommerce -> Settings -> Advanced tab -> Features -> Order Attribution” to get rid of all those cookies.

In reply to: [Cookie-Script.com] you can’t uninstall itWhat was your WordPress version? I just tried to uninstall from version WP 6.1.1, and it got removed fine, no critical errors during or afterwards it.
I see that you have fixed the problem in version 7.0.4. I don’t see the error message anymore. Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Payment gateway ‘wc-payment-method-bacs’ has been deactivatedThank you for finding the report!
I think I won’t apply the non-trivial work-around, but rather wait for WooCommerce to fix it, they’ve given feedback about this just a week ago: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-blocks/issues/7907#issuecomment-1408927815

In reply to: [Loco Translate] Plural-Forms conflictYes, you could create a different formula, and it may even make more sense in some regard, but that probably would only add to the confusion in the global scale, having yet another different formula for the same language. And you already decided to stick with translate.wordpress.com’s default formulas, which, in the Latvian case, has the “0, 10, 11” category as the first one (index 0), not the category “1, 21, 31”.
The 4th form in Lithuanian seems to be used for fractional numbers only, so it’s not relevant for PO files.
My suggestion regarding the category labels would be to, firstly, display the sample numbers. And then: if the formula fits the CLDR data exactly, add the CLDR tags as well. If it doesn’t, keep only the numbers – it’s enough for the translators to understand what the categories are.
