Hi there, I’m back again! Still not live..

I have matched the database name, user name and password as assigned all privileges which has got me somewhere (thank you) but now my site is just showing the default wordpress theme.. not the site I have already developed locally using MAMP.

I have uploaded my site in Filezilla under Public_html folder and am connected to the host fine. I have transferred all my wordpress website files across these files include:

-wp_admin folder
-wp_content folder
-wp_includes folder
and other random files that aren’t in folders.

Now I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

I have been emailing my host but I’m really not sure if they know what’s going on. I’m volunteering in Cambodia at the moment so it costs way too much to call them.

Thought you might be able to pick up what I am doing wrong, think it has something to do with the file structure?

Many thanks Alex for the support. I’m new to all this so didn’t know what KML is.

I read the post and I am trying to find the right URL by looking for the ‘little link “KML” or click in the little blue Google Earth square icon’ but I don’t have it on my map.. I’m sure there is a valid reason for this?

Hi Guys,

I’m a total wordpress rookie and have a questions about getting the site live. I have downloaded WP, templates etc which i am working on, it is situated locally on:

https://localhost:8888/onemadworld.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

I want to know if I can make the site live without paying for hosting like I was before downloading the software (using the https://www.sitename.wordpress.com url)? Is this possible?
