Thanks for the additional information, something is going on here with this, I just tested this and it added the link fine, but it posted it over 10 times, which of course isn’t right, I can’t replicate this on a test install. Can you test for a plugin conflict, by disabling all plugin apart from BuddyPress and BP activity plus and then re-enabling one by one.

Sorry about the delay on this, I see what you mean with the thumbnail images.

You can add this to your wp-config.php

define('BPFB_THUMBNAIL_IMAGE_SIZE', '200x200'); where 200 x 200 is the size in pixels, please feel free to change that to what you’d like ??

Or you can check your maximum embed size in settings -> Media -> Embeds -> Maximum embed size
