In reply to: ‘Domain Mapping’ not workingThanks for the response. Yes, I am running multisite.
So once I remove the plugin how do I change the URL of my site?
What do you mean by my hosting control panel may need to know about the domain being mapped?
Currently, the site is a subdomain https://www.learnerflow.co.uk/jackalcreative/
I want it to be https://www.jackalcreative.co.uk/
How do I do this?

In reply to: Change page links to relative after I have built the siteInteraconnectIt seems complicated because I am unfamiliar with PHP. I had a look at that tool. Is this the one you mean?:
https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/
Alternatively I am going through manually and changing all localhost/wordpress to https://www.domainname.com/new_directory
This should work but how do I change the permalinks to not read localhost?

In reply to: Change page links to relative after I have built the siteHi Tada,
Thanks for your help.
Yes, that makes sense but what will happen when I upload those changes to the internet? The links will still show localhost/new_directory?
So do I need to search and replace all files to show domain_name/new_directory ? rather than localhost?
Thanks,

In reply to: Change page links to relative after I have built the siteWhen I replace:
with:
new_directory
It does not work. The links only work when I leave the absolute path in:
https://localhost/new_directory
Why is this? Is there some setting I need to adjust to make my wordpress install except relative links? i.e.
new_directory
?

In reply to: Change page links to relative after I have built the siteGreat. Thanks for the response. It is reassuring to know.
I have set up the site under a new folder name: localhost/new_directory
I am now going to go through changing all absolute links and replace /wordpress with /new_directory
Then when I upload this to the site it should all work fine. It is just gonna take ages to fix but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
