I also have the same issue – the 404 page title was working fine and then one day it started to show “Untitled”

One of the posts made it to the top 3 and is showing an orange train icon instead of the feature image.

In that same screenshot, you will see the orange train icon which is the featured image that is wrongly used. That section you see is visual composer.

The theme author said they are using standard WordPress featured images and are not declaring featured images in any way.

I can understand if a page makes it to the top 3 and uses Gravatar. But right now postings are not behaving correctly.

By the way, I have featured image set for the post but the thumbnail that is shown in the footer does not match the featured image that I set.

I got the support guys at my hosting company to take a look and they managed to get it resolved by removing the memory limit for my account and changing php mode from 5.4 fastCGI to 5.4 CGI. That solved the problem.

Hi Hector,

The data for most popular posts/pages is somehow based on the latest posts.

Whatever is the 3 latest posts will become the 3 most popular posts.

Do you have any idea why?

Sorry for late reply. I updated to 2.3.5 today. Cannot tell if there is anything wrong because the top 3 popular posts are all posts. There is no page.

Ever since I updated the plugin from the previous 2 versions (I think), the data collected does not look right. What is shown right now as the 3 most popular posts happens to be the latest 3 postings (until I posted a new posting a few hours ago) that I posted.

The data (views per day) is heavily skewed towards those 3 postings. A 4th post that I just posted 3 hours ago is now already the 4th highest views for today. This seems highly unlikely.

Actually those 3 links that you see are all posts, not pages. So I cannot tell if it has been fixed.

I have made the changes but the stats for the site seems to have changed and pages are no longer the most popular the last 2 days. So I cannot tell if it is working alright.

But what I am seeing in terms of popular posts shown now is not the same as what is shown in my jetpack stats.

Hector, did you make changes only to wordpress-popular-posts.php?

Reason I asked is because I modified wordpress-popular-posts.php slightly for some CSS stuff. If you updated only this file, I will do a file compare to see where the changes are and manually make the changes to my existing wordpress-popular-posts.php.

Yes, the popup alert showed some numbers.

I set it to sort by daily average views.

When I click Settings -> WordPress Popular Posts (in wordpress dashboard), it shows me results (which page has highest posts etc) that are different from what I am getting on my website.

My apologies. The alert only popped up when I used a different browser (was not logged in to my site) to visit the page.

Any suggestions on what I should be checking next?
