In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast SEO Slows Down WordPressHi
Thanks for the reply. Nothing has changed with the site in question. All plugins and Yoast SEO were fine for over a year or so, however, the only plugin that is causing the site to slow down is unfortunately Yoast SEO. Perhaps this plugin is okay for smaller websites 1000 – 10000 but bigger ones, it seems to struggle by making the admin end extremely slow.
I am deactivating it for now until fix pushed through an update. In the mean time I will be giving Rank Math a try.
Kind regards

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Slower Front and EndHi there,
Thanks for getting back.
Since the the major 4.2 update everything seems to be slower. Perhaps it’s okay on smaller sites but with 300K posts sites it has gone very slow, front and back end. I would say about 4 seconds slower than it used to be.
Perhaps it is something to do with database etc. I had to disable it for now until things improve. Everything was fine prior to the 4.2 and 4.3 updates.
Kind regards
Thanks David,
I think I’ll wait until the fix is available to avoid any further issues.
Do you know when will the fix be available?
Thanks
Just quick update. Actually, you can’t edit a post or page, or create a new post or page via WordPress (not Elementor) when Elementor v3.0.0 is enabled.

Thanks for getting back so promptly.
When you try to edit a post via WordPress (not Elementor) you get this error: https://pasteboard.co/JnZvxb2.jpg
Also you can’t switch between Visual and Text in WordPress’s text editor – see screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/JnZz6c1.jpg
Everything works fine when Elementor v3.0.0 disabled.
Disabled all plugins apart from Elementor v3.0.0 and the issue remained.
When reverting back to Elementor v2.9.14 some of the design backgrounds are missing.
I hope that helps.
Kind regards
Thanks David,
I think you really should check your future updates thoroughly before releasing them to the public to avoid creating any extra work for your users as well as yourself.
v2.8.5 Seems to be stable enough.
Kind regards

In reply to: [Elementor Website Builder - More than Just a Page Builder] 2.7.2 errorsThe same is here. Disappointing
Quick update:
Elementor has just released a new update to fix the [updater stuck and high CPU] issue in today’s 2.7.2 update. Let’s hope this update won’t fire any CPUs or cause any further issues!
Elementor, Why did you release an update with major bug without back-end testing?
Testing……

Thanks @kingneb
Very disappointing that the guys from Elementor are not interested in supporting the free users of their buggy plugin! Even though this bug is caused by them.
Disabling and enabling the plugin didn’t work for me.
Here’s what I did to get it working, just in case someone has the same issue and the Elementor staff won’t help:
1- Delete the Elementor plugin (your settings should be save – you are only deleting the files from your server – not from your database – you can backup your database to be on the safe side)
2- Disable all plugins (enable maintenance mode if you have a plugin for that – no one likes a messy site)
3- Re-install Elementor
4- Rolled back Elementor to version 2.7.0 (go to Elementor >>Tools >> Version Control >>> select 2.7.0 and hit Reinstall v2.7.0).
5- You will see update notification for Elementor v2.7.1- click update.
6- You will see this notice: Elementor Data Updater – Database update process is running in the background. Taking a while? Click here to run it now
7- Click run it now and it should work ??
8- Enable your plugins and monitor your server to be on the safe side!
Done!
I hope that helps and thanks again @kingneb for your help!

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] I enable Webp option but its not workingThanks for that.
I can’t see any errors like the once you’ve mentioned above and I can see the the Webp images sitting in the server directory.
the Webp enabled.
Can I have a full screenshot of your media settings. Just in case mine is different which is highly unlikely.
Good feature if it works
Thanks

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] I enable Webp option but its not workingOne question
I have the website set to only accept jpg, png, gif files when uploaded by users to the server. Would that make any difference?
Despite the above, I can still see the Webp images in server’s folders.
Thanks
