In reply to: A Twist on “Your PHP installation… missing the MySQL extension…”Thanks @gappiah. To clarify, I don’t believe there’s even a php installation at that subdomain. I’m getting the error because wordpress was never even installed there.

In reply to: Trouble with different single.php pagesYeah, I tried slug instead of ID, but that didn’t work for any of my category coding.
It feels like it’s just something with the loop, where for some reason, it’s grabbing extra posts. Would it help to see my template code at all?

In reply to: import taking extremely long timeInterestingly enough, I may have found a solution to this. It wasn’t working at all in Safari, and I just tried it in Firefox. Seems to have worked.

In reply to: Displaying latest posts/comments on HTML pageIf you use feedburner for your blog, they have a free feature called “buzz boost” that does this very well.

In reply to: EventCalendar previous/next links not workingIn case anyone else is having this problem, I was able to get help fixing it by subscribing to the EventCalendar mailing list, on their website.
It turns out that one of my other javascripts was interfering with one of the functions of EventCalendar – so I removed my other javascript on pages where I wanted to use event calendar.

In reply to: trouble with static page / blog page functionalitySorry to post twice, but I’ve just noticed that it doesn’t matter what page template I am using for my blog page; it always looks exactly the same.
So – it seems to not be taking information from my page templates.
Very confusing.
Anyone else have any ideas?

In reply to: trouble with static page / blog page functionalityOkay – I’ve changed the blog on the “admin>options>reading” page to be a new page that is on the default template
but the problem still exists.
I don’t know where the stuff on the left is coming from – if you look at my homepage (https://www.2nimprov.com) you’ll see that those four boxes are a post that shows upcoming events – – it looks like something on the blog page is making it repeat

In reply to: trouble with static page / blog page functionalityMy front page is working fine; it’s really the blog page that I’m having trouble with.
First, I should say that I misspoke earlier – – I am using categories, and not tags for my news.
I have my front page selected under admin>options>reading
I also have my blog page selected there, but when you actually view the blog page, it some weird stuff going on.
Take a look:
