In reply to: [BadgeOS] Show Badges PubliclyI didn’t realize that. Thanks.
Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] Show Badges PubliclyHi Michael –
I’ve read your replies on this subject in a couple of different threads and the issue in both cases was that the community add-on plugin wasn’t installed.
However, I’m only getting “Show in Menu” and I do have the community add-on plugin installed. I just double checked and then deactivated it and reactivated it once for good measure.
Do you have any other insight into why I’m not seeing that option under Achievement type? I looked at the user profile and he has been awarded the badge, so that is set up correctly.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] BadgeOS kills WooCommerceHey Michael, I put it in the child theme functions.php file and it worked like a charm. I’m extremely grateful for your help. You’ve gained a fan and an advocate for your work! Great job all around.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] BadgeOS kills WooCommerceThis is definitely the plugin we want to use in our site. Nothing else has the functionality to meet our needs, so great job on the plugin.
Unfortunately, we also use WooCommerce. If you “Add New” from the WooCommerce page and then select – Add line item(s) > Add product(s) – when I search for the product to add, the search result box appears beneath the dark grey layer in the background and is not clickable.
We would be willing to wait to install a badge system on our site if you can either help us address this or give us a time table on when this issue will be addressed, rather than install a different badge system that doesn’t meet our needs as well. Thank you in advance.

In reply to: Child theme compresses parent to half screen on mobile devicesI don’t know the answer to that. I’ve never used them before and I just started working on this project a little over a week ago. Answering that question is high on my list of priorities if I can get through this issue. Thanks a lot for your help.

In reply to: Child theme compresses parent to half screen on mobile devicesWell that gets me closer so I appreciate that.
I can tell you the theme creator advertises it as child theme ready. I’ve never used a commercial theme before myself.
I’ve been trying to sort through it with Chrome’s Inspect Element.
This site is on the child theme and is displaying the problems I’ve described: https://cdllifenet.staging.wpengine.com/

In reply to: Child theme compresses parent to half screen on mobile devicesThe theme developer asked me to send a validation code for the purchase of the theme. I can ask the folks that installed the theme to try to find it but I’m against a deadline and that won’t help.
I just hoped someone with a better understanding of what’s going on under the hood would be able to explain how this could happen because my understanding is that I should be importing everything from the parent theme. Why is anything being modified at all by using a child theme?

In reply to: Bitnami Child Theme Import ProblemUpdate: I installed InstantWP and I have the exact same problem, so there’s clearly something basic here I’m not understanding. My child theme is active, but it is not importing the style.css from the child theme using the @import command that works on the remote server. I can’t seem to find any information about this issue on the web, but some sort of path issue calling the parent style.css.

In reply to: How to remove bottom margin from pageWow. It really was that simple. I threw some Lorem Ipsum in there and it pushed it down. It doesn’t make me feel very smart, but I wouldn’t have guessed that would fix it. Now I know. Thank you very much.
