There is another way i could go about this and save myself time and have YouTube handling all the back-end.

I notice there is a few cool plugins that pull a YouTube Channel into a page and Playlists.

I open a ‘Videos’ page and click Page Builder >> Add Widget >> and dragged the Custom Menu in and selected the menu i created.

OK so this is something of a success. It has put a menu in a page! Terrific that’s good.

I unchecked the “Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu” saved. It still adds top level newly created pages to the “main” home page of my web site.

I want the menu buttons embedded down in the page called ‘Videos’ to end up being about four wide and stacked three or four high all neatly bunched together and be able to ad more and it automatically stacks them.

Sorry i don’t quite understand much of this!

Problem is when you create and publish any new page a new button and link is automatically added to the main menu.

Is there a way to make pages that do NOT create a new menu button in the main menu header area. So they are hidden. I can then use the URLs to make a menu code and paste it in and create page edit area.

Got it done in the Network Settings!

I don’t know but you might be able to delete it from on the server using cPanel or FTP.

(some path similar to this on the server?)

I have a drop down menu box with selections of whom i want to be the author of this post. These various ppl are all me, one is my real name one is a blog admin name and one a nick name. I think it’s because each registered user i did i have set each user as admin.

Not sure if this is a viable solution for you.

Well the sites stuffed 124 images gone overnight and i haven’t got a recent backup and don’t know how it’s happened.

I have however found an old backup i think will have a fair few of the images.

Question is can i open the backup .gz file and just get the uploads folder? As i have done a bit of changes to the site since this time and don’t want to just backup restore to this time?

Found a weird branch in the cPanel File Manager with a second wp-content/uploads folder but it seems a strange file and tries to download when it’s clicked on. Not sure it something has happened perhaps duplicating an old file for bigger storage?

If this wrecks my site it going to be game over for WP from my situation, so many years building a site and wrecked in one minute.

Is there a recycle bin in cPanel to go in see if i can restore and deleted files?

Well you would not believe the research i did on this one to try and resolve by myself.

But just to post an update for anyone else that might come across my problem and be looking for a possible answer to your own problem. Today i was messing about with the permalinks back to default and everything was fine but still no custom links working.

Cut it short: i noticed that the htaccess file on the server did not have a (dot) .htaccess (instead it had just this: htaccess i changed it to a .htaccess and the whole sites links worked and loaded again. I can’t see the htaccess file on the server now so I’m not sure where it went to after i changed it to .htaccess but the site has started working!

I don’t know how on earth this happened on the server but site was down some four months trying to figure it out and it was only one dot!

Found in the blog admin > themes this:

blog-directory Edit | Delete Broken Theme: Stylesheet is missing.

Then i go into the the blog admin theme iNove style.css and it loads a blank white page with no code at all. mmmm i think it’s not on the server.

But i went on the server and the style.css will load into the editor? So the style.css is on the server but it does not load in the blog admin iNove theme editor.

Maybe this is the problem. But it must be what loads the style.css that doesn’t not load it properly? Again, still lost any suggestions or where to look would be great??

I got a reply back from my hosting company and they there is a mix up with my servers since some site are on aussie servers and some oversea, i switch to overseas server in DNS and the site showed up!
