Um, can I ask a question first before I go do a complete manual install, what is it saying. Is it saying that the database is missing the username and passwords? If it is, in the wp-config.php file, they are there, and the name of the db. When I was doing the upgrade, it mentioned having to update the database as well. Now, could it have lost something from the wp-config.php file? It seems everything is in the file. If I remember.

Hi, well I took a back up, which was part of the upgrade. I can see the front page, but anything else I click on takes me to a database error page. I am not sure I have a back up of the wp-config.php file though. The back up comes as a .zip file

I wasnt wanting to set up wp on my pc, all I want is to be able to access the pages, so I can view the information, I dont need to look at the posts. Is there a folder in wp that has that information in html format?

Does anybody know if Picturesurf has gone offline altogether? I have tried sending e-mails and posting to their forum, but it seems they are not answering any of their posts on the forum or their e-mails. Anybody else have Picturesurf on their sites and having problems with it?

Hi miklb, I havent tried disabling the plugin, but I have disabled java and java script for the site, and it works, but the popup picture viewer disappears. Also, its causing a problem loading the posts and pages in the acp as well. I have tried to contact Picturesurf, but their website is down as well. https://www.picturesurf.org, which is odd. I just remembered, this version of picturesurf was upgraded, and its since then that I have had the problem.

Problem is, I have dozens of pictures on my site, uploaded using picturesurf, if I disable it, my site is without all those pictures.

Its a pity really, its the easiest gallery I have used.

Hi joshcook, I would like a feature that allows for members to leave messges on the dashboard, for admin as in possible problems with the site.

Hi, thank you both for your reply. As I have already mentioned, he updates on a test site first then imports the updated site over to my Host, which is where we have the problem. He does this so that if there are any problems, they are dealt with first on the test site. Its me being ultrasafe, so that we dont loose anything in the upgrade.

The funny thing is, this is the first time this problem has occured since I have been using WP. Some where in the upgrade it doesnt like the transfer.

Thank you for the message, I will take a look. ?? I did look at the first one you gave, but its not yet compatible with 2.7, so will have a look for something else. I hope they update it soon.
