I see what you are saying. Then you don’t want an IDX plugin. You want a Property Management plugin. TOTALLY different. A property management plugin allows you to create your own listings with your own information.

IDX MUST be for professionals. And the professionals that need to use RETS IDX know that it is a regulated industry. Believe me, if we could get around the paperwork, we would.

I haven’t worked tihe any property management plugins for quite some time, but if you search for Property in the WP Directory, you should find something that will help you get the result you need.

I apologize but there is no IDX solution that allows you to have a valid connection to YOUR MLS directly, without having to cover fees associated with that. To the best of our knowledge, we are in the exact same category as the dozen or so IDX related plugins in the WP Directory.

We are working on a model to allow very limited functionality to a very limited number of users. But we don’t have the logistics worked out because usually, as IDX Vendors, we have to remain compliant to the industry MLS Terms and Conditions, which in most cases require some PHYSICAL documents, signing, and authorization.

Only verified Brokers, with authorized feed access, which DOES NOT require any relationship with the IDX Vendor would be eligible for any “freely automatic” connection or sign up options.

This is a complex industry across the nation. What your MLS does or doesn’t do is not necessarily representation of even those around your state. I’m not sure what MLS you are in, so I can’t comment as to specifics. I’m just explaining some of the generalities.

If you do find an IDX plugin on there that will connect you directly to your MLS feed for free, please point it out to us. Because we sure couldn’t figure it out. No sarcasm at all.

@rodwellbuildingservices no problem, now that I know it was an oversight. Thought it was on purpose. I would actually like to speak with you about something B2B, after looking over your plugin. To jump in here, yeah folks, if you are hosting with GoDaddy…DON’T. Really ever – IMHO. VPS servers are much cheaper these days and usually run the latest versions of the software and/or give you the WHM Panel/cPanel to upgrade yourself.

Shared hosts are not for websites with serious functionality and resource requirements. They are starting points. Plus WordPress and the rest of the world are moving forward, while cheap rate hosts take advantage of their users by not upgrading their own licenses.

You shouldn’t have to ASK your host to keep your server up to snuff, ya know. But you do, in many cases.

Once WP 4.7.x came out with RESTful API built in, our plugin was already requiring the RESTful API plugin to work. We are trying to stay ahead of technology, not cater to outdated hosts. Otherwise our software will cease to serve all of you that want to use it. So we have to decide whether we want to keep up with the trend setters and rule makers, like Google, or make a weaker product that will work for GoDaddy’s unsuspecting hosting users that are getting a worse than sub par service.

And it DID start out maintaining the dashboard in WordPress. but once they changed their API, and wouldn’t give developers access to create third party apps OUTSIDE of Hootsuite, it stopped working and we stopped working on it. Aks WordPress to remove it. It is useless now.
