In reply to: Thank you page in Contact form 7And you’ve definitely tried the first one with the typo corrected?
If that doesn’t work I’m out of answers sadly. But I assume your plugin is up to date?
Maybe try the tedious approach of deactivating all your other plugins and then testing again.
Hope you get it sorted!

In reply to: Thank you page in Contact form 7It could be as simple as youve got the code wrong:
on_sent_ok: “location.replace(‘https://www.mysite.com’);”
you’re missing an inverted comma after the domain. maybe that’s all it is?
apparently this also works but i’ve never had any trouble with the first method so try that first.
on_sent_ok: “location = ‘https://www.mysite.com’;”
if neither of those work check that you’ve got:
<?php wp_footer(); ?>
in your footer

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] 1.2.8.1 breaks adminthanks leonuts. that’s a suggestion i haven’t heard before so i will give it a go. (only downside is any seo will have to be redone).

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] 1.2.8.1 breaks adminthanks for that. yep, tried all those things. the weird thing is i have it running on about 20 sites with very similar setups and only a couple are affected.
what makes it odder is if you login as admin everything works perfectly. login as editor and you can use it on pages but posts get screwed up. go the next stage down and posts and pages are screwed up.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] 1.2.8.1 breaks adminleonuts i get that totally and its easy to be ungrateful for free solutions (and this is a good one). but it’s not just this thread i monitor and have posted to and sadly none of them have been responded to.
my issue isnt a multisite one. it’s screwed up dashboards, missing content, variations between user levels. a fair few things that I am others have detailed carefully. i get that flakey feedback will be less than helpful but there are people out there trying to get by and trying to help improve the product. after all if there is a bug that the community has found why wouldn’t you want their help solving it?
even on his site you cannot contact him about such things.
the problem is one of eroded confidence. why would i gamble on paid support when the visible support and care for the community comes across as quite low? if you release a free plugin then you should support it. if you cant then you will get some bad press. its a simple reality. right or wrong that’s how these things play out ??

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] 1.2.8.1 breaks adminhmmm months of no response and no apparent support for the plugin and then we get a sarcastic and unhelpful response.
This kind of thing just encourages me to look for other solutions. Not cool dude.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] 1.2.8.1 breaks admin@idope: yep mine is about screwing up the admin area and tinymce buttons disappearing etc (seems to be the topic this thread started on so lots of people are still stuck – amongst other problems ?? )

Hopefully he will address all the issues soon!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] 1.2.8.1 breaks adminHas Yoast replied to anyone about these issues in the last few months? You cant contact him directly and he doesn’t respond to the forums.
I detailed my problem here and I am clearly not the only one experiencing this.
Its very frustrating as its a great tool but my clients are getting p*ssed off with me so i may have to uninstall it and find a replacement (although transferring over the seo bits we have already inputted will be a nightmare).
It always used to work so well ??
Hi Joost
I have run the latest update and still no change sadly.
If my users are set as administrators then they see everything as intended. But if I set them as editors (which is what they should be) then they get the seo functionality on posts fine but on pages it removes the tinymce, turns all text white, shows the html in the visual editor and removes the grey wordpress admin bar at the top of the screen.
I have deactivated plugins etc and done all the usual things and its definitely your SEO tool that is breaking the system.
I really need some suggestions or I am going to have to replace it with something else (which I really dont want to do)
thanks
James
?? thank you! that worked exactly as hoped! i didn’t see that in any of the documentation i read.
I have heard very good things about that. Its not free but then i suppose if you want to do it properly its well worth it. And considering the amount of hours i have wasted on wp e-commerce…
Found this:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-events-manager-list-recurring-events-as-one-event
Its a very convoluted way to get it all working but it does work! Of course if there is an easier way to get a single event to span multiple dates on the calendar that would be much much better (I assume it has to be part of the system as it would be crazy for it not to be)
now I just need to work out how to get the template that displays multiple events on the same day to look as i want – god knows what file that one is! ??
I found this in the settings:
Show long events on calendar pages? Yes No
If you are showing a calendar on the events page (see Events format section on this page), you have the option of showing events that span over days on each day it occurs.but it doesnt seem to do anything – my standard events that spans multiple days isnt marked as hoped and the recurring ones were showing on all the dates marked anyway so haven’t a clue what this was supposed to do :{
hmm it seems this isn’t a very well supported plugin ?? 4 months on and no response from the developers. pity as it looked so promising!
and it might have helped make wp e-commerce usable – as it is i wont be using it again. lousy shopping cart system!
