    Hi again,

Huge thanks again for the quick response. Just tried this and when I uploaded the plug-in I immediately got a notification that my SSL certificate had been detected so I just hit activate!

I went back to the URL you sent previously just to test this and it’s stating that I’ve got an SSL certificate installed now so I believe that should be all sorted?

Again a huge thanks for all of your help with this, the plugin is brilliant and your support has been second to none!

Hope you have a great evening,

    James

    Evening Rogier,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and thank you for the updated plugin.

I’ve just tried to activate it and I’ve received the following error:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare RSSSL() (previously declared in /home/pj6hocmzwqty/public_html/wp-content/plugins/really-simple-ssl/rlrsssl-really-simple-ssl.php:223) in /home/pj6hocmzwqty/public_html/wp-content/plugins/really-simple-ssl-master/rlrsssl-really-simple-ssl.php on line 221”

Any ideas on how I can get around this?

    Many thanks,
    James

    Hi Rogier,

Just attempting this now so thank you.

I’m up to the installation of my certificate although I have currently got the following error message:

“There has been a critical error on this website.

    Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.

Attempting to install certificate using shell…”

Despite this, I’ve been able to install the CRT, KEY and CABUNDLE manually in cPanel. I’m just unable to advance to the final ‘Activate SSL’ step in the wizard.

Is there anyway around this to advance anyway. If not, will the certificate work anyway seeing as I’ve installed it manually?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rogier,

Really appreciate this, it’s worked perfectly this time!

Just for clarification, the article here: https://really-simple-ssl.com/installing-ssl-using-shell-functions/ mentions a Wizard that I can’t currently see/find. Am I right in assuming this is because I still have my previous SSL certificate for now and so this will only show when my previous one expires?

Happy to offer as much input as you need, I’ll keep you updated with how I get on!

    Hi!

Thanks for all of your help with this.

I still don’t seem to be able to view it myself although I’ve asked others to test it for me also and it does appear that it’s working correct in most instances so I’m hoping that it’s more of a user error than an issue with the plugin.

Thanks again and I hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I’ve had a further look into this and to be honest I’m even more confused now than previously.

It seems to display on Microsoft Edge for me, although I’ve configured settings which include a custom message, not the default “Hi! How can we help you?” and also so that the chat bubble does not expand on it’s own. These settings don’t seem to have been applied though.

Google Chrome is my main browser though and I cannot get the bubble to display when running Chrome. I’ve disabled all ad and pop-up blockers, cleaned my site and browser cache as well as enabling all cookies but I still can’t get the bubble to display for me on Chrome for whatever reason.

Is there a simple setting that I may be missing somewhere?

    Thanks.

    Morning Sanjeev,

I’ve managed to produce the following error log:

    Hi Sanjeev,

I can’t seem to find this log anywhere – is it because I’m not a Pro user?

    Thread Starter jamesradcliffe

    (@jamesradcliffe)

    Hi Sanjeev,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I’ve setup error logs on my site but for whatever reason this hasn’t made any difference and no debug.log file is being generated. I’ll look further into this if its required for support but in the meantime I’ve received the following error:

EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.5.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    Mailer: Other SMTP
SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.
Consider running an email test after fixing it.

As I mentioned, I’m using the exact same settings and logins for other email clients and I have no issues though.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick response as always! Just attempted this and couldn’t work it out for a while although what I think I’m struggling with is that I’m trying to hide fields depending on answers selected in a dropdown menu, not a calculated field.

Just wondering if I’m missing something and this is still possible or if there is a way around this?

    Many thanks,
    James

Thanks for your quick response, didn’t think of that but I’ve amended it and working perfectly again now.

    Thank you very much!

Unfortunately no, currently the default user-role on sign-up is Subscriber and the way I’m testing it is through an account I’ve created on an alternate email so this is also a Subscriber.

I appreciate that, please let me know if a fix is provided
