In reply to: [Facebook Comments Importer] worked great till last postSorry about that. I had the privacy settings on my profile set too high. Perhaps this explains my problems too? I tried to make the settings as public as possible. please have a look again:

In reply to: [Facebook Comments Importer] error on free versionOk. I am very interested in your PRO version, only if you get the feature to import old posts. Please let me know here whenever that is ready.

In reply to: [Facebook Comments Importer] worked great till last postThanks for getting back to me. I did the upgrade and the error message is not happening now. But I still have only one post importing, even though I have done more posts since. Is this because I am trying from a profile not a page? Am I out of luck?

In reply to: [Facebook Comments Importer] error on free versionI only have ONE post displayed; the 2nd to last one. But thanks for clarifying about pages vs profiles. And if there is a limit of 2 posts then the free version will not work for me.
Will the paid version handle a profile? I have no page.
Also, how far BACK will it import posts? I have been cross posting my blog to FB since 2007.
Thanks for looking at my problem.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Facebook Comments Importer] error on free versionI have refreshed the browser several times and restarted the computer, but the options screen is still hung up on the 2nd most recent post.
I also deleted the plugin and reinstalled, but the result was the same; still stuck on prior post.
perhaps you had better take a quick look. Where do i email you my login info?
thanks!

In reply to: [Facebook Comments Importer] error on free versionyes, maybe THAT particular post has no fresh comments. but the bigger issue is that i have since posted new posts on my blog that are not showing in the plugin options section. How do i force it to pull in a new post?
Also, as it is the PRO version I am more interested in, where do i find some screenshots, a demo, or more info about what it can do?

In reply to: Blogspot snippets/thumbnail links TO ME not workingThanks so much for that info, Esmi. I will use TWENTY TEN as my DIAGNOSTIC theme from now on…
My site has been in need of an overhaul for a while (my current theme was made on top of MINIMA) so perhaps I will use TWENTY TEN as my start-point for a redesign.
Do you have a short-list of OTHER themes you would recommend as a basis for customisation? Or, what is your opinion of K2? I was looking at that one because it has the 2-column/3-column switch-ability and I thought it might be a neat choice if I wanted to do a MULTISITE setup….
thanks again for all your help.

In reply to: Blogspot snippets/thumbnail links TO ME not workingOK, thanks. Is TWENTY TEN considered the most stable? I was already thinking of ditching my current theme but I was leaning toward using K2 next and using it as the basis to make something new.

In reply to: Blogspot snippets/thumbnail links TO ME not workingOh no, I appreciate that fact. My question is more about the possibility that there is something possibly wrong with my own theme that interferes with the links backs.
The reason I am wondering about it is that my girlfriends blogroll SUCCESSFULLY does retrieve link backs to OTHER wordpress blogs and move them to teh top of the list when they have new posts. For example THIS wordpress blog:
https://www.linesandcolors.com/
every time they make a new post it goes to the top of the list as it is supposed to do, Mine does not. Which makes me think that the problem is at my end Not with Blogspot or WordPress. But i cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.
thanks for your speedy response, by the way!

In reply to: Blogspot snippets/thumbnail links TO ME not workinghmmm I wonder what that is about…
Well, here is another example which is my GIRLFRIEND’s Blog. Normally the blogroll updates in real time so the the most recently updated blogs move to the top of her blogroll (I have the same functionality on my own blog thanks to the WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING plugin)
Unfortunately this feature is not working in my case and my link is ALWAYS near the bottom even when I have new blog posts (my link is called JAMIE BAKER and is about 2 from the bottom of her blogroll):

In reply to: files in uploads folder not viewable in MEDIA LIBRARYOk… maybe I will try that. But first i will deal with the permalinks and the image folder… still can’t figure out if moving that will cause me grief later…
anyway, thanks for your help!

In reply to: files in uploads folder not viewable in MEDIA LIBRARYdo you know if this would be possible:
move the wordress install into the main directory so as to run the entire site via WP, the make a WP PAGE for the root (that replicates the FRONT DOOR page I have now) and other pages that match the other locations of my site /LINKS/ /PHOTOS/ and so on) but keep the blog in the current directory location:
I read through that documentation in the LINK you sent once before and I got the impression that what I described would be doable. If so, then I could save myself the hard work of going through the entire blog (which goes back almost 10 years) and updating the links!
BUT I would get the benefit of running the galleries and links pages etc via WP rather than coding by hand as I do now.
what do you think?

In reply to: files in uploads folder not viewable in MEDIA LIBRARYperhaps you can help me with something else that is a related issue.
My wordpress folder sits in another folder within my main site. This is because I had the site itself several years prior to using wordpress.
What this means is that I have TWO image folders, the one within the main ROOT (which contains artwork for my illustration folio website) and the other UPLOAD folder within WordPress (which contains photos and stuff pertaining to blog posts).
IS there a way to let WordPress KNOW about the OTHER folder too; the IMAGES folder in the main ROOT? Do you think this plugin could add TWO possible locations to the datatbase? or would the only way to do that be to consolidate the two folders together?
For quite sometime I have been wondering if I should consolidate things and simply make the entire site run on wordpress; moving the blog into the ROOT itself.. but i confess the shifting around scares me a little!
