In reply to: [Revisionize] Publishing revision changes original post’s URLSo is the problem happening on pages that have recipes? Can you walk me through how to setup the page/post/??? that you’re Revisionizing? I’ve never used this plugin before, but it seems to be the one causing the problem.

In reply to: [Revisionize] Publishing revision changes original post’s URL@everydaymaven I’ve been investigating this, but can’t reproduce the problem. Are you using WP Recipe Maker by chance?

In reply to: [Revisionize] My Revisionize post is appearing at the bottom of my live postThat’s what I’m saying – *it shouldn’t be doing that* – so I suspect there’s another issue going on. Either with a conflicting plugin? Or maybe your theme?
I notice that on the page you sent me, the theme does seem to display the DRAFT, when it shouldn’t be.

In reply to: [Revisionize] Question – creation via codeHi Patrick. Best to look at the source code of the plugin to see what you can hack together. But currently I don’t explicitly expose an API for other developers to programatically create revisions.

In reply to: [Revisionize] Not overwriting, keeping both copiesHi Amanda,
it sounds like some sort of error is happening when the scheduled publish happens. Are you using the new Gutenberg editor shipped with WP 5 by chance?

In reply to: [Revisionize] Automatically Revisionize ALL posts with criteria?Hi Deanna
tldr; revisionize doesn’t have an api to let you do this. It also doesn’t integrate with the front end at all.
I’m not sure – it sounds like you’re a developer? You could look at the link used in wp-admin to create a revision for a specific post. It’s setup to redirect to a backend page, but you might be able to hook into the plugin with
add_action
(look at the source code for which hooks are available). Then have the user land on the front end editor. Are all the front end users contributors? I’m guessing yes, since this would be how their posts get flagged as pending review.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Revisionize] My Revisionize post is appearing at the bottom of my live postThe revision that gets created is a DRAFT, so it shouldn’t appear anywhere, but it’s possible your theme is showing it despite its draft status.
Also – with revisions you should *not* edit the permalink. The whole point of revisionize is that the post you edit then schedule/publish gets written back on top of the post that exists at the current live URL. If you’re planning to create a new page with a new link, then Revisionize isn’t even necessary.

In reply to: [Revisionize] Scheduling a Revision@j4studios I just did a quick test with WP5 and was able to successfully schedule a revision.
Are you using the Classic Editor plugin with WP5? Revisionize doesn’t currently work with the Gutenberg editor.
Can you describe the “nondescript error” better?

In reply to: [Revisionize] InvoiceHi Cez,
Sorry, I never received the original email you mentioned.
You can login to your account here https://revisionize.pro/account/ and view your purchases. Click View “Details and Downloads” which should have all relevant info your accountant needs.

In reply to: [Revisionize] Lost Recipe Ratings Using RevisionizeHi Lisa,
Sorry for the late reply. There must be an incompatibility with the WP Recipe Maker plugin. I have a few suspicions of what it could be and I’ll verify and get back to you this week.
