In reply to: [Pilot Fish] Pilot Fish, IE 8, and normalize.cssI have since abandoned pilot fish on https://s001.janasnyder.com/~lovelybr/, after trying three different workarounds, and nothing fixed the header. (Now trying Foto.)
Anyone who could fix this gets the gold star of the day!

In reply to: [Pilot Fish] Pilot Fish, IE 8, and normalize.cssThanks, yogi.
Here’s the site I’ve altered: https://s001.janasnyder.com/~blackbea/
And here’s the fresh site that only has PF theme installed, no other changes: https://s001.janasnyder.com/~lovelybr/

In reply to: [Pilot Fish] Pilot Fish, IE 8, and normalize.cssOkay, I have found a few validation issues, but…
To test whether the IE 8 problem is due to validation issues I’ve created in code tweaks vs just inherent to the template, I started with a separate/different site I’d just installed which still had the default twenty-eleven theme and NO changes at all to content or code. I then installed pilot fish on that site, and immediately have the same problems with the navigation falling apart in IE 8.
I then dropped the code from normalize.css into the top of that site’s CSS stylesheet, but that isn’t fixing the problem, either.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Will do so. Thanks.

In reply to: [Pilot Fish] Pilot Fish, IE 8, and normalize.cssSorry, I meant to include these links:
Thanks; you answered my first question.
And I figured out the second; it’s in home.php. Don’t know how I missed that before! :/
thanks again.

In reply to: [Photolistic] Post Footer Thumbnail image qualityThanks for the help, CedarPoint, but I decided to bail on Photolistic and use a different theme (Pilot Fish). This image problem was too frustrating, plus there were some other customizations I wanted to do, that were too difficult for my limited skills.

In reply to: [Photolistic] Post Footer Thumbnail image qualityI have tried entering the image in the the documentation-recommended sizes — first as Medium size, and then Thumbnail size. In both cases, the image that appears on the home page seems to be cropping in on the image, then stretching it at a different aspect ratio.
I went into the editor, and looked at the Main Index Template, thinking that maybe there was an error in the height/width specifications, but it matches the recommended Thumbnail size.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your help, BTW!

In reply to: [Photolistic] Post Footer Thumbnail image qualityI’m not the original poster. (Sorry; should I have started a new thread?) My problem is the same as theirs, though; blurry/stretched thumbnails on homepage.

In reply to: [Photolistic] Post Footer Thumbnail image qualityMy originals (for the featured image in the post) are the recommended 610×407. Based on the math, they shouldn’t get stretched to fit into the 280×190 for the home page thumbnails — but they are. Can anyone help?

In reply to: [Oxygen] Oxygen Theme Slider not showingReenix’s solution works, but when you’re on the “edit post” page, you also need to choose one of the display options in the “Location” menu (bottom of right hand column, if you haven’t moved it elsewhere).
