The author is thinking about calling the API of your plugin – if there is any – when creating an event with his plugin. EME is offering/using hooks to manage that.

Unfortunately I am not into coding and don’t know if this info is helpful ??

The author of EME is not using a custom post type for presenting the events of its plugin and doesn’t intent to change because it is developped that far that it takes too much time to change now.

The only question/suggestion is, if provid an API of some sort.

Okay, I tried and it doesn’t look like being compatible. I can’t find any chance to publish the events with your plugin. They are not listed on the content page wp-admin/admin.php?page=blog2social-post

I will also ask the author of EME about it.

What a pity that this is not answered yet. I found some explications and solutions for other themes but couldn’t transfer it to this one. Not even sure in which file I have to look or it.

It is just now that I realize that I used the wrong word: “I found out that empty fields won’t be send.” and not “want” ?? But obviously you figured out what I wanted to say.

Thank you already for your quick and detailed response.

1. The setting was disabled. Now I enabled it, updated the form, disabled it again and updated again. Like this I tried to make sure this value is properly set.

I continued testing and found out that empty fields want be send. The problems are the conditional fields that aren’t empty but not shown in the first place. I guess I can fix it by adding default/first values for these fields that will be set as empty values. Question is why it worked like this till recently.

2. The site I take care of isn’t using the premium version of the Form Maker plugin so far. I can’t add the suggested spamhidden field because there are already more than seven fields in the form. A lot more than seven. I don’t know how they managed to do so but can that be a reason for that issue?

I don’t really understand and don’t see an effect by using show_hidden.

With a shortcode like [activity-stream user_id=1 show_hidden=1] where 1 would be my ID, I see the same result if I visit the page with this code as myself logged in and as a logged out visitor. I have also posted in non public groups but can’t see it myself using this shortcode. I would like to have the same output as if I visit the profile page …members/username/activity where to myself everything is shown but to others only according to their permission.

In a next step it would be nice to only show the posted updates and my profile updates but not if a created a group.

And another thing I like to ask? What is the best way to ask for a new feature? I would like to limit the time span. To tell the shortcode a start date and an end date to only show events between the days.

I see the point in inviting me to the official website on the other hand it is a bit annoying to have an user account for each plugin. So as long as there is the offer to make contact here and not really the need to big exchanges and discussion I prefer the short way.

I tried with code like & # 233 ; that worked and now I also can’t reproduce what I described above. So it seems to be okay.

Same issue here.

Just discovered the plugin while searching for something that allows a specific role only to post in specific categories and installed it.

Doesn’t matter which category and for which role I mark the checkbox, it won’t be saved.

But I have to apologize too for not withdrawing the question.

The concept of the website I asked for has changed in the meantime and now this issue is handled otherwise.

I hope your work will be still useful for others or for me sometime in the future. At least I know where to have a look when I encounter the template issue again.

Accidentally I discovered my typing error which prevented the link from being shown. And bizarrely I haven’t noticed the hint Only allowed. So this is working.

But I am still looking for a way of styling the help content and hoping that I don’t miss something else.
