In reply to: Add old posts to a new WordPress siteProblem solved. When I imported the database, my user didn’t have admin privileges. So I had to go into the database under wp_users and change the permissions to administrator. Then all the buttons showed up. I was then able to easily export the database, then import the .xml file and worked like a charm! Thanks again, esmi.

In reply to: Add old posts to a new WordPress siteI was able to put the site back up (on a separate url) with a new WP install, imported the database successfully. BUT, the dashboard has no Plugins or Settings buttons, and when I click on Tools, I only get an option for Pressthis. How do I see my plugins and settings?

In reply to: Extremely Long Load Time on WebsiteThanks very much!
The GTMetrix says to combine multiple js and css files into one file for each. Since some of these styles and scripts are linked to their respective plugins, how do I redirect the paths to link to the new all-in-one css or js file?
Also, how do I lengthen the browser cache expiration for many of these files? I’d estimate 97% of these files are core design elements which don’t need to be updated.
Again, many thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction!
Sincerely,

In reply to: [Plugin: Stripe] Card/Javascript error when checking outYes, I did and it was easy. For me it was that the header.php and footer.php files were not in the root folder, so I placed them there and, most importantly, made sure both files had <?php wp_header(); ?> in the header.php file and <?php wp_footer(); ?> in the footer.php file. The Stripe plugin relies upon the wp_footer(); to hook the code. Once I had that in place, everything worked. I hope that helps!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooCommerce Sucks!I agree. Worst support I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been getting a theme conflict on the Checkout page of Woocommerce for weeks and I sent Woocommerce support 5 detailed tickets explaining the issue, with no response. I’ve disabled my plugins, still doesn’t work. I am using it with Stripe Gateway, but those folks told me it’s a prevalent Woocommerce issue. Do not use Woocommerce plugin, unless you want to pay for every little add-on.
