Have just updated to 4.6.10 and still having the problem. It happens on both back and front end.
Other installed plugins:
Akismet
Auto ThickBox Plus
Jetpack by WordPress.com
Missed Schedule
Simple Yearly ArchiveInstalled but not active:
Add From ServerI will do the usual deactivation of these and re-test when I have the time, but ’til then maybe you know of conflicts that exist against any of these? Or can guess that certain ones may have a conflict, so I can start there?
Any help is appreciated. I think your plugin is otherwise great – easy to use and mostly easy to understand. ?? (The stuff I don’t understand, I leave alone!)
Thanks!
Nope, sorry, still getting the error message.
WAIT! Sorry, I thought you meant the new version of WordPress (I was using 4.1, it just updated itself to 4.1.1) but I just saw there’s a new update for this plugin. More testing required … will report back shortly!
Didn’t help. ??

In reply to: animated gif previewsOh sure, that makes total sense. I’ll have to keep an eye on that next time I upload and see what happens and which ones are affected.

In reply to: media upload linksAh yes, that seems to have worked. Thanks for that.
Would still be nice if WordPress could figure it out based on size of the image, but this will work just fine until that happens.
And to all those who would get on my case for editing the functions.php, fear not, as I am using a child theme and have edited the child theme’s functions.php!
Thanks again!

In reply to: Stop logging me out!I don’t use any sorta security plugin at all. Unless Jetpack has something hidden in there (they keep adding stuff and I haven’t been paying attention), then I have nothing like that at all.

In reply to: Excerpts instead of Full PostsThanks Sridhar, that worked. I must have been changing the wrong line.
Jason – the site has existed for a few years now, so there is no way I am going back and inserting the readmore tags. As said above, I must have been using the_excerpt in the wrong place in the loop.php file.
dnosaur62 – I did try searching for the answer. As you point out, it’s faster. Unless, of course, you don’t understand the answers you find. Or, as already mentioned, you put the code in the wrong place!
Thanks everyone for taking a whack at it, and thanks again to Sridhar for finding the exact line I needed to change! Much appreciated!

In reply to: New Add Media doesn't work?Deactivated all two of my plugins, no change.
I’m already using Twenty-Eleven.
There is nothing in that link that helped me with my issue.
But really my question is, is this normal? Is there a 10 image limit? Or is it just me?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Faster Image Insert] [Plugin: Faster Image Insert] Select All pleaseOMG really? lol I thought that was to change the order!
Okay, I take it back, it really is faster. ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: where is post thumbnail?Yes, I think you are not understanding me. I have done all that.
Lemme try again. In my blog (single post) I want to have a large-ish picture on the right hand side, beside my first paragraph.
On the main page (index) I want it to show the first paragraph and the thumbnail on the right side, but I want it to not show the large-ish picture.
Doing it as instructed in the above tutorial ends up showing the large picture and the thumbnail on the main (index) page.
How can I make the main (index) page show only the thumbnail and no other pictures from the blog (single post)?
Thanks!

In reply to: where is post thumbnail?3.0.1
(Why does it ask me this when I post if it doesn’t display it?)FYI, the theme I use does not natively support post thumbnails, but I added all the codes from this article: https://markjaquith.wordpress.com/2009/12/23/new-in-wordpress-2-9-post-thumbnail-images/

In reply to: Warning: subscriber is currently editing this postYes, I checked to be sure he is still set as a subscriber. On your suggestion, I have changed to Contributor and then back to Subscriber.
The point is though, the person wasn’t actually even online at the time he appeared to be editing the page. And shouldn’t have been able to access the edit interface anyway.
