In reply to: [Modern Events Calendar Lite] Render Blocking & Bloat@webnus GTMetrix is not bothered by it so much, but Lighthouse in the Chrome Developer tools really doesn’t give a great score and complains about the render blocking resources and unused JS and CSS. Since Google uses Lighthouse scores, it’s concerning.
I don’t understand why the MEC resources are being prioritized above all the stuff that is actually on my page, and furthermore, why they get loaded on every page of the site regardless of whether there is an instance of the calendar.
Are you saying that the intent of the developers is for us to have more control over this in the future or that the unnecessary assets will not be automatically loaded in the future?

In reply to: [Max Mega Menu] Color Picker SwatchesThank you so much! Loving this plugin so far. So happy that I have found a menu option that seems to meet accessibility standards. Looking forward to the update.

In reply to: [Max Mega Menu] Color Picker Swatches@megamenu It’s definitely not a plugin issue. I finally took the time tonight to deactivate every single plugin except mega menu and the swatches still looked like that. As far as a theme, that’s not the issue either since I am using Oxygen Builder which disables the WordPress theme system. I even deactivated Oxygen, multiple times just to check, and still had the problem.
@malawimama Thanks for chiming in. Good to know it’s not just me. Hopefully this gets looked into.
@mtzionadmin Modern Events Calendar says it has auto Google Calendar synchronization in the Pro version which is a simple one time purchase of $75 for lifetime updates on 1 site, which isn’t terrible, or you can go with lifetime for 5 or 10. https://webnus.net/modern-events-calendar/features/ Here are a couple more areas of their site that I dug up that might help:
https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/import-and-export-events/
https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/export-to-google-calendar and
https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/syncing-of-mec-plugin-with-google-calendar/The free version also lists Google Calendar integration, but not “syncronization:” https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/modern-events-calendar-lite/
WP Event Manager is another plugin that I played around with when I was trying to find a new go-to calendar plugin. I liked it, but it had less features. One cool thing is that you can add custom fields since its operation is based around custom post types. The core plugin is free and has kind of have a modular, add-on ala carte approach so you can just pay for what you want or a big bundle. https://wp-eventmanager.com/product/wp-event-manager/
Here is their add on for syncronization which is $39/year for one site (personal) or $99/year for unlimited sites (developer): https://wp-eventmanager.com/product/wp-event-manager-ical/Maybe something here will help.
@omarkoza Hey no problem. The web design community has been so helpful to me in my journey and it feels great to pass some of that support on to others. I’m glad you had a good experience!
@omarkoza I poked around and found Modern Events Calendar. I plan to use it in my next build. They offer way more than most for free and the peo licences are lifetime and not subscription based.
This is not to be confused with The Events Calendar from Modern Tribe. I’m running that on one of my sites but it has less to offer for free and the subscription plan to pro is pricey.
I have this Timely Calendar on another site, as well, but didn’t realize there were issues until I saw the recent reviews and support forum. This eliminated it from being a candidate when deciding what to go with in my next build!

In reply to: [My Simple Space] Fatal Error MessageHi sorry for the delay again. I swapped out the code, and there was no change. I even reinstalled the plugin to clear transients and cleared my cache, but still have a fatal error.
I can send you a message over on your website so we can communicate by email at this point!

I just updated the plugin and activated to find error is still being displayed on the dashboard: https://tinyurl.com/rwsg5zwForum: Plugins
In reply to: [My Simple Space] Fatal Error MessageI also got another email when I reactivated My Simple Space telling me there was a fatal error again:

In reply to: [My Simple Space] Fatal Error MessageHi @mannweb, sorry I didn’t get to your suggestion until now.
Unfortunately, your plugin is still throwing an error.I installed the clear transient from dashboard plugin and cleared the transients a few times by clicking the button, and then reactivated your plugin and found that there are still errors. See screenshot: https://tinyurl.com/sgy4kaf
I’m going to deactivate both plugins again while I wait for your response.
Thanks,
