In reply to: [Contact Form 7] CF7 not receiving messageThis is a weird issue – I have it on two separate sites:
Site 1: WP 6.4.3 / CF 5.8.7 (with reCaptcha integration)
Site 2: WP 6.4.3 / CF 5.8.6 (with reCaptcha integration)
I did some testing with various emails and different browsers. What seemed to be consistent across the board is that any emails at my domain would successfully get delivered (even an email address that doesn’t exist). Anything ELSE though – hotmail, gmail, yahoo – did NOT arrive even though it showed the green ‘sent’ message. I have Flamingo installed on both of these sites too, and it does show ALL of my test messages there.
On my own site, I disconnected reCaptcha, cleared my site cache and tested sending via the different email addresses again. Same results. I also tried deactivating Flamingo and then re-tested again – same results. It seems like it’s only domain emails from the same website domain that get delivered for some reason, though almost all of the test messages I sent got the green ‘sent’ message.
Hope that helps? Please let me know if there’s anything else I can provide.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] CF7 not receiving messageI too am having this issue on one site. The problem seems to be fairly recent – maybe starting in January? I have the latest version installed (everything is up to date – WP, etc), Flamingo is installed and I see the messages in the inbound section, and I get the success message when sending test messages. But the messages never arrive to the inbox.

Hello and thanks for your reply!
I have two other sites that use the same theme and the GiveWP plugin together without issues, so I tested the plugins first even though there aren’t many used on THIS site. To my surprise, the issue seems to be related to the All-In-One-SEO plugin. Not sure what it is about that plugin but the problem ONLY occurred in the situations when this plugin was active.
Switched to Yoast SEO and everything still seems to be fine with both blog and donation pages, so I’ll probably just continue with that for now.
Thanks for your help! ??
FYI I think it might have to do with the PHP version. The live blog is running 7.4.33, but I just tested on a dev copy of the blog running 8.2.5 and it seems to work properly there. The plugin should work ok with 7.4.33 though, yes?
Hello @imtiazrayhan ,
Thanks again for your help with this! Was curious if you had a chance to test OR if you needed any additional information?
Sincerely,
Chris
Thanks for the quick reply! Here’s a list of the plugins used on the site. All free/non-PRO versions – everything is current except for Advanced Custom Fields, which is just maybe one version behind:
Advanced Custom Fields 6.1.3
Advanced Custom Fields: Options Page
Akismet Anti-Spam: Spam Protection
All in One SEO
BackWPup
NextGEN Gallery
reCaptcha by BestWebSoft
Redirection
W3 Total Cache
Wordfence Security
WP Table BuilderAnd Cloudflare is used on the site, as previously mentioned.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else. Thank you for your help! ??
Same problem here as well. I removed the files but they were all generated again right away it seemed.
@themook if you have the older version of the plugin backed up, you can upload that again as that should still work.
@themook while i’m sure they won’t be supporting old versions forever, i wouldn’t doubt they make some kind of fix in the next update as i’m sure there are a number of people still using older php and don’t have any other options or newer versions available yet.
@jmaxwilson thank you for that info!
@sschober – you would need FTP access (or you could do it via File Manager in your web host control panel):
go into the plugins folder /wp-content/plugins/ and rename the /wptouch/ folder something else like /ZZZ-wptouch/
it’ll deactivate since it can’t find the plugin folder, then the site should come back up.
i had to disable the plugin, then the site came back up. now the plugin won’t activate due to the same error, but at least the site is up.
ps i’m not using any caching plugins
i just updated and get the same fatal error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /wp-content/plugins/wptouch/core/class-cache-smash.php on line 104
