Can anyone tell me how to add “previous” and “next” text links rather than using the thumbnail navigation? (And how only show these links if there is a previous and/or next image to link to…?)

Okay, now I’m not so sure Lightview caused the problem. All I know is that after loading Lightview (among other plugins) I couldn’t access WordPress or any pages (I got the error where a window pops open asking if I want to save index.php etc.). I thought Lightview was to blame, because all my other plugins are very tame. But maybe I was wrong. It was VERY late and I was tired. Sorry.

I lamely reinstalled the entire blog because I didn’t have any content loaded anyway. Then I backed everything up and tried Lightview again. It worked and I didn’t get a PHP error, but by that time I had learned about image.php and decided I prefered simple over flashy.

So I disabled Lightview. BUT then, when clicking on a gallery thumb, it opened directly to the image, rather than opening in image.php. Strange. It seems to me that Lightview altered some setting that wasn’t switched back when I disabled it.

Rather than messing around trying to figure out what happened, I reinstalled WordPress again, uploaded the backed up database, and moved on.

I have the same request — text links or simple arrows would be much better than the thumbs IMO.

I can’t think of any way to show you the site, but I promise it’s there. If I use an internal link (from WordPress admin) then it opens up just fine.

I fixed the problem by reinstalling the blog. I rebuilt it exactly as before, but this time the RSS is working. I wish I know why it broke, but at least it’s fixed.

I am using WordPress 2.0. It’s newly installed, and even with all plug-ins disabled I’m having this problem. Any help would be appreciated. The blog is at:

I just started my blog using WP 2.0, so no history here. When I subscribe to RSS 2.0 with Firefox it comes up empty. I checked at Feed Validator and got this result:

line 2, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:2:0: xml declaration not at start of external entity [help]

Any help would be appreciated.

I have someone using my site with Safari, so I made the suggested change, but then I couldn’t get into the admin (dashboard/post/etc) section at all. There was some type of error and a blank screen. After removing the changes everything was back to normal. Doas anyone know why this hack doesn’t work for me? I’m using the latest WP, Firefox, Rin’s template (adjusted), etc.
