It looks like you have the singup form to redirect to a thank you page, and so the message that displays in the signup from if you’re already signed up won’t ever display.

I am going to work on a way to fix the issue so you can use a thank you page with ajax and also give subscribers a message telling them they have already subscribed.

I will update this ticket when this feature is available.

Sorry for the late response, but we shipped a fix for this with the last release. Now the basic fields respect the required flag when a user submits the signup form.

The ajax for doesn’t have a thank you page by design, it just has a thank you message that displays when successful.

I am going to fix the non-ajax submit process so it recognizes required fields correctly. I should have a fix released soon.

I took a look at the issues you mentioned and I am unable to reproduce them. I would recommend disabling some of your plugins to determine if there is a conflict.

Hi Nyakuza,

The SendPress signup form does display a message to users when they have already signed up. It’s a very simple “You’ve already signed up, Thanks!” but I confirmed that it still shows up when I signup more than once.

Are you using a custom form to get users to sign up, or one that comes with SendPress?

I was able to update SendPress on my personal site to the current version. I updated from version 1.7.7.28, but the process is the same. I would give it another try and if it still fails I would download the current version and try a manual install.

By the way, in my quest to find a solution, on the Sendpress > Settings > Confirmation page I see that I can do a redirect to a page, however there is no page that appears in the dropdown and I don’t know how to add one. Please ignore this if it isn’t part of the solution

The redirect is the solution to your problem. That dropdown is filled with pages from your WordPress site. If you create a page you will see it in the dropdown, and then you can add all the content you want to say thanks to people for subscribing!

Make sure you have the base SendPress installed as well. Both plugins need to be active for SendPress and the added SendPress pro features to work.

I found the issue and have checked in a fix. It will be out in the next release which should be out sometime today.
