The title of this post might be misleading as the solution by Batharoy (which works great although I lost the menu to stick to the top) centers the site title (as per sneaksby wish) and not the page’s title.
If I want each page title to be centered, how can this be achieved?

Fixed. I had set a max height with a plugin… Change the max height and it got fixed.

Hi, If I insert an image in the text, the height of the image get resized to 572px in height. Any suggestion as to how to prevent this resizing?

I copied this custom page template into a child theme based on RIDIZAIN: the image does not get resized to 572px in height, it displays exactly as saved in the /uploads folder. So there is something in Fourteen that resizes the image, but why, where and how to prevent that?

Hi, I have a problem with the solution as my images (I used .png images) are redimensionned to 572px in height… I do not use the plugin Tablepress: is this the reason why?
I created the template no-sidebar-full-width.php at the root of my 2014 child theme and copied the code makphisto detailled in “Jonnie (and anyone else reading this)…” Thanks makphisto. It works as long as the image is not longer than 572px long. Anyone has an idea on how to bypass this restriction? Thanks!

Hi Toker, I do not understand what you mean by: “fahrner image replacement” in your secondary question. If it is that you want to put a logo instead of the text, it was resolved in the post “Adding Logo to Twenty fourteen”.
As far as increasing the height of the main top menu and still retain the “fixed” position, I do not know how, but I am interested in finding how to do it! Hoping someone can help!

I tried the css solution: might need a bit of tweeking because the menu is not fixed.
I think this post can be put to RESOLVED since the header.php solution in a child theme works well.

Use a child theme (check the codex if you do not know how, it is SUPER simple), copy file header.php from Twenty Fourteen into your child theme folder and make corrections as per the post “Adding Logo to Twenty fourteen”. You will probably solve your problem! Enjoy.

It WORKS! For the header.php solution, the image has to be in height 44px or less (I use a jpg image, not a png); 44px and under, menu is fixed, 45px and above, the menu is not fixed when a user scrolls.
I have not retested the purely css solution with different image size to check if if works.

WORKS!!! The trick, for the header.php solution, is to use an image that is no more than 44px in height; under 44px, the menu is fixed, 45px and more, the menu is not fixed when a user scrolls.
