you announcement is 5 months old, and in version 1.9.3 the class problem persists. can you please replace the class name “Special Recent Posts” by the standard widget class notation (cf. standard widgets): “widget_specialrecentposts” (eg.) in 1.9.4 or something like that?

thanks for your feedback.
Why don’t you find it obvious – the plugin name itself tells, that only WIDGETS content is paginated.
Comments and posts are seen in the main area, WIDGETS of various kind (also able to comments and posts) appear in sidebars.
That is why we named the plugin “WIDGET paginator”, and why the description says “This plugin lets you add a stylable pagination for the WIDGETS *** …”
Am I misunderstanding you?

can you tell us, what makes it so confusing? or even, how it wouldn’t be confusing?

easily explained:
a pagination will of course only be shown, if there are more elements in the list than the number of elements you want on each widget page.

you have 3 links in recent posts, and you also set 3 to be shown on each page. hence, a pagination is useless, as there is only on page.

you either need more links in recents posts, or you can reduce the setting to 1 or 2.

I noticed, under categories the pagination is too long for your sidebar.
To prevent it, you can set the ‘max. items’ count to 1 and the three font sizes to 10px.

Thanks for the screenshot, it is very helpful. Your ‘items per page’ numbers are way to high – the number needs to be smaller than the number of links in the widget. So just put a 3 in there, for example. Then, the pagination will divide the widget links into blocks of 3 links each.

2) have you set the page numbers for your widgets in the plugin settings?
3) could you send us a screenshot from the plugin settings page?

please tell us:

– the version of your widget paginator plugin
– your wordpress version
– your browser (including version)
– your operating system

in the fields, that you marked with stars, goes a number, e.g. 5.
in the first field, for example, this number will make the links/blogroll widget to have 5 pages.

all the other fields, though, shouldn’t have this <? echo in it – it looks like an error that I need to fix, but I can’t figure out the cause without your help.

Zweegmpa, your custom theme uses different code than the standard wordpress themes. We just released an update of the Widget Paginator, which works with themes like yours, too.
