In reply to: [Astra] Removing search formThanks again!
I was curious if there are other ways to do it, but other ways aren’t necessary.

In reply to: [Astra] Removing search formHi Herman,
Thanks again for getting back to me.
Sorry, I might have been unclear.
There were two search forms before, I removed one, and now there is only one. The only one that is there now is the one that I want to keep, so there aren’t any more to remove. I want one and I have one. In other words, I no longer have the problem.

In reply to: [Astra] Removing search formHi Herman.
I’d like to keep the bbPress one. I got a solution at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/removing-the-search-form/. Though, I’m curious if there are other ways to do it.
Thanks for getting back to me.

In reply to: [Custom Login Page Customizer by Colorlib] Isn’t showing Back to site textI decided to go to Settings > General Settings, and give my site a title, instead of trying to use the Back to site text.

In reply to: Does the search form belong to WordPress or my theme?I just had the same problem with the Ultra theme, but then I was able to get a solution at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/removing-the-search-form/.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Removing the search formThank you so so so much.

In reply to: Does the search form belong to WordPress or my theme?Thank you, t-p. I contacted them, as you suggested. But, I had the same problem with the OceanWP theme. That’s why I switched to the Astra theme. It seems to me like it would be a big coincidence if two themes had the same problem, but I’m new to this. Moreover, both of those themes are recommended by wpbeginner (at https://www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/best-wordpress-themes-for-bbpress/), but I guess everybody makes mistakes.

Do I need Ocean Extra to remove the search form? In customizer, the only thing I could finds was how to disable the Search Icon Style, not the search form. I used Appearance > Customize > Header > Menu > Search Icon Style.

In reply to: [Ocean Extra] Removing search formI have two search forms now. The one that I want to remove is to the left of the login form, not below it.

In reply to: [Code Snippets] Code to remove category hyperlinksThank you, Shea Bunge. With the Code Snippets plugin, is there a way to put the code in a theme, not WordPress? If not, is there a way to? The reason why I’m asking is because I’m trying to remove a search form that I’m guessing comes from a theme, not WordPress. Should this be a different topic?

In reply to: [OceanWP] Removing the search formThank you, Abhishek. When you say checking, do mean that you looked at my site, or that you tested (at a different site) the plugin or code that I mentioned? When I go to my site, I still see two search forms. The form that I want to remove is to the left of the login form.
I think installed Elementor, and maybe also one that sounded like it. One of them asked me if I wanted to install another one, and I did, but I forgot which one asked me.
Is it okay if I used WP-Sweep?
I’m using oceanWP now. I made it so all the other themes aren’t stored.
I couldn’t delete Elementor.
SiteOrigin’s Page Builder wasn’t in the plugin page.
It seems like SiteOrigin and Elementor can do a lot, but they are both more than I need, unless one can help me remove the search form, so I can use a bbPress forum search form instead. I wasn’t able to remove the form using either of the two methods at https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-disable-the-search-feature-in-wordpress/, one of which I tried with the Code Snippets plugin.
I tried to use Elementor, but I got tired of waiting for it to take me to the next screen. I might have been doing something wrong, though. Like, once I couldn’t find options because I didn’t scroll down enough. I’m kind of scared to try Elementor now, because I already made my site, and I’m getting tired of experimenting. But, I’d try if I could remove the search form.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Removing the search formI tried both the Disable Search plugin, and the code at https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-disable-the-search-feature-in-wordpress/ with Code Snippets.
I’m still figuring out what to do, but I appreciate you sharing your knowledge about things that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own.
And, Elementor is still at my site.
