Version of wordpress? Version of the plugin? What was the error?

Looks like your version of the widget isn’t compatible with the version of wordpress you are using.

By the way, the about url can stay blank. If it’s not blank then the title of the about me widget on your page will be turned into a hyperlink and click through to the url you put in the about url.

This is realted to the way the ajax binding on the widgets.php page works. It’s unfortunate that this happens, but a typical step that works around this is to refresh the widgets admin page after having added the about me widget to the sidebar, and before having added copy. After the refresh you should be able to edit copy and save it successfully.

Try the latest version. There were two breaking changes in wordpress 3.1,
1 in WordPress itself and one in the version of tinymce shipped with it.

Sorry bout this. No way to get around it since the way the widget loads options has changed. I did make a big note in the installation instructions for you to copy the old widget content though. Not as good as a migration script, but the best I could do at the moment. Sorry again.
