In reply to: [Mission News] Feature image caption on single postsThat sounds great. I look forward to it.
I bought the “pro” plugin to help support your efforts (although I have no need to install it).

In reply to: [Mission News] Feature image caption on single postsApologies. I see now that while the plugin author says the captions appear automatically, they do not. Instead there now are additional fields in the post editor for adding and managing a feature image caption (a duplication of the media library caption field that I assumed would be used but is not).
Not sure if this is going to work since I’m not likely to go back and retrofit years of past posts that require attribution of the source.

In reply to: [Mission News] Feature image caption on single postsI had seen your previous recommendation to use “Featured Image Caption” and installed it. Got an invalid header on initial attempt to activate. Subsequent attempt worked but there was no change to captions being visible. Reading the latest reviews for the plugin, this seems to be the case for the past several months.
Any other options?
Thank you. That appears to have worked.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Universal Analytics support anticipated?I just got the nudge from G and started investigating the ramifications of making the change from classic to universal analytics and Yoast’s plugins were at the top of the list.
There’s no info to be found so hopefully someone monitoring this (Joost or someone from the Yoast team?) may provide info that we can use to make good decisions.
I also found it bewildering that esmi closed what was a timely and unresolved topic. Thanks for reposting here, kylerollins.

In reply to: Anchor link issue (WordPress adds website address before #)I too was struggling with the URL concatination problem. Then I saw this alternate method which is working fine for me.
<a href="#myanchor">Jump to anchor</a>
.
.
.
<h3 id="myanchor">Headline</h3>
I used an H tag in the example but any element that can accept an ID will work.
Don’t ask me why. I just know it works for me.
Cheers!
