And as I predicted, Vultr support isn’t going to help me…

@wfsupport My hosting provider is Vultr, which is a self managed system. They most likely won’t give me support on this issue.
This is why I tried to follow your guide to hide a .user.ini if myserver runs NGINX. I used this link: https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/optimizing-the-firewall/#hide-userini-nginx
But that didn’t work. So if I contact Vultr and they don’t help me, what am I supposed to do?
@wfgerald I mean, it still shows as a ‘critical’ issue found, when I scan on Wordfence. It states, “Details: https://www.jbehrmusic.com/.user.ini is publicly accessible and may expose source code or sensitive information about your site. Files such as this one are commonly checked for by scanners and should be made inaccessible. Alternately, some can be removed if you are certain your site does not need them. Sites using the nginx web server may need manual configuration changes to protect such files.“
@wfgerald Should I message you the logs directly to your PM/inbox? Or just post them here?
The main ‘error’ I received was this: “Failed to start nginx – high performance web server.”
I didn’t see that error when trying to connect to the website. All I got was a cloudflare page, saying it was unable to connect. But I had to login to cockpit for ubuntu (since my server runs on nginx), in order to see the logs. There are logs there for that day when it wasn’t running, and it gives a bunch of info. But it’s long.

In reply to: cookie free domain problem@bcworkz thanks for the reply. After further research, I decided not to worry about it. As you stated, the difference will probably be negligible.

In reply to: publishing failed, you are probably offlineNone of those worked, aside from #1 (Making both address URL the same). But some people say that causes issues with having no cookie-free domain, but others say it doesn’t matter.

In reply to: publishing failed, you are probably offlineWithout any themes enabled or install, just using the default theme, the block editor still did not work properly. Many of other people are having this issue. See this link for reference: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/wp-5-0-1-publishing-failed/page/2/
Seems as though there are many “solutions” to this problem, but they require things that cause other issues.

In reply to: publishing failed, you are probably offlineI noticed many other people are having this issue. I actually did try re-installing my wordpress installation twice, but no solution.
I figured this out… It was a setting on my Vultr server. Had to disable it via the terminal. All figured out ??
For anyone interested, I followed this link: Vultr Docs
under the section “Remove wp-admin Security”
“One-Click WordPress has an extra security prompt for the /wp-admin/ page. To remove this feature, run the remove-htaccess.sh script.“
