    I am not understanding this at all. I got it all back by deleting the post that I had put in yesterday. Then I walked away for the day. I just came back and was going to do a post and it was all gone again. I did nothing on the site in between. Everything is cut off from catagories down. Is this a WordPress problem by any chance? Is there some way that I can resolve this? I can’t do my posts the way I want until this is resolved. I can’t even upload any media. Can anybody help me please?

    I am hoping that adding this information can help anyone that can or is willing to help me. I thought that maybe the problem was due to my changing text in some older posts, so I took the last post that I changed yesterday and restored it to an older date. When I did that, all fields came back. So I manually typed the new text into the post this time because I heard that WP is touchy with copy and paste. All I did was add some new text and take out some old. When I did that, poof, all fields were gone again and I can’t get them back this time even when I restore to an earlier date. Can anybody please help me?

    I never even thought to do that!! Thank you figaro for your reply.

    Meanwhile, do you know if there is a way that I can find the ones that I saw before? I am assuming the search field must not work for the name of the plugin since putting in the name doesn’t take me to the plugin.

    I don’t know because I am new to WordPress, but I wonder if you could just change the title to the corresponding tab. It may show up under that tab then without your having to rewrite the post. Someone with more knowledge might have a better answer than that though.

    I could not see “Home” tab on my main page, anyone can help me to solve this problem?

    I am not sure if this is your problem, but you may have to set it to go to your home page. Go to settings and click on reading. Where it says “Front page displays” set what page you want as your home page. That might create a Home tab for you, but again I am not sure.

    I ended up switching themes and was glad to see that I did not have the same problem in the second theme. I figured that it must have just been something about the DeepBlue theme, but if you are having the same problem in Studio Press then maybe it is a WordPress thing after all. I have switched to envision 3c by Headsetoptions in case you want to give that a try. Thanks for the reply!

    Iam not hotlinking to anybody. The theme I used has an RSS image in it and when I went to change the image size, I noticed that they have the image hotlinked to their own site. I don’t want it that way and was looking to change it; that is why I posted the question on this forum.

    In all my researching and reading and trying to figure this out, I think I may have found the problem. There is an RSS feed image in my theme and this image is rather large. I think that may be causing IE6 to have trouble with the width of the sidebar because of it. However, the image appears to be hotlinked so I have no idea how I can change the size. Is there anyway that I can change a hotlinked image?

    I did try saving it to my computer, re-sizing it and then uploading it to my image folder. I then changed the img src tag but apparently did something wrong because all I got was the red x. Any opinions or suggestions on this large hotlinked image causing my IE6 problems is very much appreciated. Thanks!

    It’s always best to upgrade to the most current version.

    Okay, that is what I was wondering. Thanks for the reply, kwbridge!

    Thanks for the link, and I don’t know if it is necessary but just to clarify I did do some reading. In fact, I always search these forums and sometimes even Google before posting a question here.

    What I was concerned about and therefore asking about, is whether a new version could be problematic for me since I am very new to WordPress, as I know that upgrades can sometimes have problems of their own. But I guess since I haven’t read about any reported problems, I will just go ahead and give it a try. Thanks.

    Right. I’m sorry. I have 2.6.3. That was a typo error. Can you tell me if I need to upgrade to the 2.6.5. or am I okay staying with the version I have? Thanks

    I don’t know CSS (but do know HTML) so I could be reading this wrong, but the only thing I see that even has the HTML word in it is this:

    #sidebar ul.sidemenu li {
    list-style: none;
    background: url(images/dots.jpg) repeat-x left bottom;
    padding: 4px 0 4px 5px;
    margin: 0 2px;
    color: #68774A;
    }
    * html body #sidebar ul.sidemenu li {
    height: 1%;
    }
    #sidebar ul.sidemenu li a {
    text-decoration: none;
    background-image: none;
    color: #666666;
    }

    I am thinking that may be the problem since the right sidebar is down real low which would make it a height problem, I would think. So, is this where I would make any changes and if so, what would I change it to? Thank you for your help!
