so I switched from internet explorer to chrome and the media insert works just fine.

love it!

well, tried to upload photos today and, guess what, the problem is back. Can’t get any help from my host and don’t know where to turn. any suggestions!

well, I don’t know what happened. something at the server is my guess.although they didn’t respond to my request for assistance.
Like magic after a week of frustration, like magic I was able to access my media library again!

there is a file manager and legacy file manager folder. I have looked in both and did already find the wp-content folders in a couple places www and public_html

– I don’t know where to look for the “anti-hotlinking of image”. Do you mean in my hosting account at the server? In what folder would I find this?

– there is no upload path in the Dashboard, Settings, Media window. the only upload files option is “organize my uploads into month and year based folders.

– do you in the wp-content folder on the server?

I tried changing everything – dashes, commas, slashes. You name it.
THEN I went back to my original excel spreadsheet and saved it as csv (dos) — NOT windows and voila! uploaded and saved with no problem and the copy looks just like the excel table. Go figure!

this may help others who have been frustrated!

i have uploaded other tables successfully in the past but a table with a list of performers by stage won’t save. there are ranges of time e.g. 10:00am – 11:00 am
I have removed all commas, apostrophes and replaced the dash above with “to”. there are other dashes in the descriptions of the acts.
the table uses arial font

I’m lost!

knew I must have done something wrong since no one replied to my post.
thanks. what I finally did was to copy and paste each item into a table in the plug in on our site. this worked.

the original table had been created in font cabrini and i changed it to arial. there were two or three apostrophe’s that looked suspicious but when I deleted and reinserted they looked the same.

I can upload the file. any suggestions as to where?

I have had a similar problem that has gone without a reply.
table is in arial and have checked for funny characters and found none.

okay found the problem. slideshow is using file in the wp uploads folder not the plugins folder

ejk82 – copied the older file from your downloaded link and replaced to nextgen-gallery plugin folder and refreshed the path in the slideshow options in my theme but the logo is still there.

waht am i doing wrong/

okay so I read the docs and guess i don’t need a template. what i think I need is a way to put code for “show this many posts for this category on this page” in the html of a given page” ? does this make sense?

I don’t know what the code should look like or how to insert it.

If I do need a new template – I can’t figure out how to save an existing template with a new name so I could create a new template. Must be something simple I am missing! in the interim, I updated my theme and all the individual page templates have been replaced with one so that makes this option even more difficult.
