Thanks @WFGerroald, I’ll let you know how it goes. My honest guess is that it has something to do with the way amazon handles it’s instances, files are never stored on the server and can never be changed – only tables.
Will keep you updated.
I disabled the scheduled scanning, and also ended up disabling wordfence altogether, but still auto-enables after a few hours.
The only thing left to do is to deactivate the plugin. I just deactivated for now until things can get fixed later.
My hunch is it has something to do wordfence files… Since we’re using aws / s3 to deliver the site, no files on the server can be changed whatsoever. Does wordfence rely on changes on the file system level or the database level?
Any update on this? This is happening even after I “disable firewall” altogether. It auto enabled after a couple of days. What’s going on?
Ok I’ll let you know. Meanwhile, since I’m on aws, writing the filesystem is not possible. Would this affect wordfence?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Cannot change shop page columns woocommerce 3.3 update!Hi Caleb,
This works! – except it forces it to be “8” (I’m actually doing 5 columns) on a small screen as well, which makes it look like this:
This is what it looks like a larger screen:
Appreciate the help!
My theme is the standard wordpress twentyseventeen theme.
This only started happening after the recent update to 3.3. What has changed?
*Edit*
I changed it to 4 columns and it seems to work – I have a hunch it has something to do with bootstraps 12 column system. If someone would like to elaborate on this for future passerbys i’m sure they would appreciate it.
All the best.
