I am having a similar issue, but this solution did not work to me, I am using version 1.5.5, And I always get this message:
App could not synchronize with website, I have change the code on: /wp-appkit/app/core/launch.js, to add the error so I could see it:
var error_message = “Error : App could not synchronize with website”+JSON.stringify(error);
And I got this:
