Actually, I’ve managed to find out what was the reason it wasn’t displaying. I was using another theme and didn’t manually insert the correct breadcrumb php code into the header section, that’s why it doesn’t show up. So now it’s working.

However, the breadcrumb still display “Brand”, which is the custom post type. This means that clicking that results in all posts under custom post type “Brand” getting displayed. Is it possible to remove this custom post content link from all breadcrumbs?

It’s really strange, even though in the permalinks it’s fine and displaying correctly.

When you go to the “uk department store” post, the permalinks display:
https://www.website.com/brand/uk-department-stores

And the breadcrumbs display:
Home ? Brand ? UK Department Stores

However if you click on the “uk furniture store” child post link in the uk department store parent post, the breadcrumbs change to

Home ? Brand ? UK Furniture
rather than
Home ? Brand ? UK Department Stores? UK Furniture

The permalinks display fine as:
https://www.website.com/brand/uk-department-stores/uk-furniture

Yea I did change the hierarchy setting, selecting Post Parent rather than the Category.

Do I also leave both the Category Archive Display and Category Hierarchy Display empty or do I need to tick them as well?

Also do I need to set a Root page for each custom post type?

Even thought I’ve set a parent CPT to a CPT and then assigned a child to that CPT, when I access that CPT on a new window, the breadcrumbs still show the categories rather than the parent post link. What else I’m I doing wrong here?

What I’m trying to resolve is for wordpress to dynamically detect and accept my current category rather than automatically diverting to the default/highest ID category.

Since I created category Men Fashion first, wordpress seems to direct each viewer to the Men Fashion category even if they found the post via Women Fashion cateogry.

Is this something to do with categories, permalinks or breadcrumbs? It’s quite confusing and I’m not sure if I’m making sense here. Sorry for any confusion.

Btw, how does the “page categories” function work in the ninja page plugin? E.g. I would like to have a category called Men Fashion and one category called Women Fashion, if I have a subpage that would fit in both categories: Men Fashion and Women Fashion, and I want it to displayed in both what I’m I supposed to do?

I see that in the div surrounding the whole subpages list there’s an id=”ninja-children-wrap” with no corresponding css style.

So I created a new id for ninja-children-wrap in my styles.css and gave it display:inline;
however the list still doesn’t display inline. I’m I doing something wrong with my css?

Right now the subpages of a parent page are displayed as links in a list in block format. I would like to have each link side by side rather than being in a list.

My site is still in closed beta right now, I’d have to set up a test site. If it’s possible to solve this issue without a test site it would be better ??

Do you need access to the backend to see what is the problem? If so I would have to create a temporary user and password for that.

So you’ve seen the “disappearing” flash issue on the test page? In my main site images load absolutely fine. However anything to do with “flash, sliders, banners” etc and breadcrumbs seem to disappear after a refresh or two.

I really like the plugin as I’ve been trying to ajaxize my site for a long time.
