In reply to: Ordering Same Date Events by TimeHey Bob,
You certainly could include a time of the events in the meta data. It does seem odd that the ‘event_date’ wouldn’t already include the time, especially if you are entering the time for the event, as it would be normative for a developer to include the time when things are ordered by date.
One would need more info and a behind the scenes look at your site to figure this out, honestly, and that is probably something that is not entirely appropriate in this forum.
I would advise you to contact the theme creator or get some development help as your best option.

In reply to: Unwanted First Line IndentHey @hotmale ,
It also looks like the entry header above the paragraph in question includes a div for a thumbnail that does not exist. If I delete that node the issue is resolved.

Really looks like a theme thing.

In reply to: Ordering Same Date Events by TimeHey @bob1928,
It’s not clear to me what is generating the events list. I don’t see an events plugin on your site and it doesn’t look like a block.
Just to cover our bases here, have you flushed all caches? Have you tried re-saving the events if they are posts?
Do you know how the events are being queried for the event list? In general, can you provide more specific info regarding how the events are being created and how the events page (from the WordPress API it does look like the we are dealing with a WordPress page) is being rendered/created?
Thanks!
JohnHey @xavierxavier,
I tested the filter, ‘woocommerce_admin_order_date_format,’ in the following article and it seems to work for WooCommerce. Probably will not work for Subscriptions.
There is also this idea here for modifying admin columns: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/61375632/change-woocommerce-admin-order-list-time-and-date-format
Some places to start anyway, :).

In reply to: WEBSITE ERRORHey @famid24,
It does look like you need to reach out to your host or change what site(s) the SSL certificate is applied to.
When I go to https://womeninthegap.uk/ in Firefox and click on “Advanced” I get the following:
Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for womeninthegap.uk. The certificate is only valid for the following names: womeninthegap.uk.vrp.dmo.temporary.site, https://www.womeninthegap.uk.vrp.dmo.temporary.site
Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
Regarding not being able to “select database,” can you please be more specific? Thanks!

In reply to: Sub-Menu in header dissapears only on tablet/mobileHey @jeremy217,
I went to your site and it looks like you have moved the menu item “Dementia Services” to the top tier of the menu, so it is difficult to see what precisely could have been going on.
A few things you can try:
- I see you are on Divi. Turning off any CSS and/or JavaScript optimization/handling that Divi is doing might help.
- I would temporarily disable all caching and CDNs to see if that is related.
- Recreate the issue, on a staging site if necessary, and see if you can spot any errors in the browser console: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/advanced-administration/debug/debug-javascript/
- If you have not done so, a plugin and theme conflict test is always in order: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/
I also found this thread with a user on Divi that is possibly related: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/submenu-dropdown-not-working-on-mobile-devices/

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] The events calendar is slowHey @vinos21,
Performance issues like this can be a great headache, I know.
I went to your site and the first load of the calendar seems pretty fast to me. Here’s a video https://www.loom.com/share/8969a8a1ed0c45c784dc2c43c208eda9 of what I found (In many tries, I never saw a slow load). It sounds like you are also describing this as an intermittent issue. Is that the case? …
Does this issue happen when logged in and logged out? Have you tested this on different machines? Do you have our month view cache enabled at Events > Settings > Viewing?
Have you tried the Query Monitor plugin to see if you can spot exactly what’s slowing the page down? I would recommend that: https://querymonitor.com/wordpress-debugging/how-to-use/
Lastly, that’s a lot of images on the month view calendar, which definitely could slow a page down in my experience.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Calendar doesn’t change monthHi @seachip,
I know this not solved, but hopefully we are close.
The “tribe/events/v1” namespace is the correct one for events data. However, if I understand your issue correctly, you need to enable the namespace, “tribe/views/v2” in order for the next page of the month view to work.
If that doesn’t work, let us know and please also do a full conflict test: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/testing-for-conflicts/
In addition, let’s see if we can find any errors in the browser console: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-see-a-javascript-console-error-on-your-site/
Lastly, I went to your site and its looks like you have password protection set up. That may also be involved here.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Event metadata blocks undefined erroHey @jtgraham38,
Thanks for using our plugin, letting us know what you are trying to do and for reaching out to us!
Just want to make sure you have seen the blocks that can be used to display our events: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-add-event-blocks-to-wordpress-pages-and-posts/
If I understand you correctly, you are trying to use, on other pages, the blocks that are used to enter data when creating our events. If my assumption is accurate, I would be interested to hear more about your plans in this regard.
In terms of the issue(s) you are encountering with the query loop, using event data and the error you are encountering, it looks like this might be related to the fact that we use custom tables for our events and some queries may not work on our events. Here’s some more info on our custom tables and how to query our events with our ORM and
tribe_events()
:- https://docs.theeventscalendar.com/apis/orm/
- https://docs.theeventscalendar.com/apis/custom-tables/events/
- https://docs.theeventscalendar.com/apis/orm/query/events/
Hope that helps!

You’re welcome and that’s great news!!! ??
Just out of curiosity, which snippet did you end up using?

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Tribe Events Sitemap RemovalHey @meenakshisanyal,
Was really hoping that WordPress hook would work for you and I share any disappointment you feel that it did not! ??
It looks like Yoast is taking over the sitemap on your site and I am not really sure how much we have to do with the issue honestly as our event post_type must be public and searchable by default.
Since you are using Yoast, maybe their filter to exclude post types from the sitemap will work here: https://developer.yoast.com/features/xml-sitemaps/api/#exclude-specific-posts
Here’s the example filter from Yoast’s site:
function sitemap_exclude_post_type( $excluded, $post_type ) {
return $post_type === 'recipes';
}
add_filter( 'wpseo_sitemap_exclude_post_type', 'sitemap_exclude_post_type', 10, 2 );
I am routing for this to work for you. If it does not, I would contact Yoast.
I did some digging around our codex and put together a snippet that worked for me to make our post type not publicly searchable, but that might be farther reaching than just excluding it from the sitemap. I do not currently have a test site that is index-able, so I was not able to test to see if it worked on the sitemap:
add_filter( 'tribe_events_register_event_type_args', 'xml_no_tribe', 10, 1 );
function xml_no_tribe( $post_type_args ) {
$post_type_args['publicly_queryable'] = false;
return $post_type_args;
}Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any questions.
Best!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Tribe Events Sitemap RemovalHey @meenakshisanyal,
Thanks for sharing your issue and your urgency. I know how it feels when you cannot get things to work the way you want them to. ??
It looks like you can exclude post types from the sitemap using this hook: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/hooks/wp_sitemaps_post_types/
Our post type is tribe_events.
Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any questions.

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] Error 404 on Stripe webhookHey @benlinders,
Totally understand you not wanting to communicate contents of an email here. Seems prudent. I was just wondering if you got any generic error codes or error messages.
Sharing my email comes close to violating WordPress forum rules and I think it would be best that I not do that.
Have you followed the other suggested steps? Do you have any questions about those?
Cheers,
John
