In reply to: Show only the first three tagsWhere would you use that? Inserting it in place of get_the_tags() breaks the code.

In reply to: Daring Fireball Like “Linked List?”I know that I could cover this by not having the theme use the TITLE variable and just have the first line of the body be a link to the content in question, but the RSS feed would still link to my site and not the link in question. Anyone have any idea?

In reply to: RSS Feed Icon Just Doesn’t Show UpProblem solved. No special coding is needed, nor any plugins. Just a favicon.ico file in the root folder. Not the WordPress root, the site root. It must be titled favicon.ico. I had icon.ico before and it did not work.

In reply to: Corked 2.0: Personal Blog Redesign@rspence: Thanks for the search button comments, I’ve modified the search text to read “Click to Search.”
As for the title image, I can see where you’re coming from. My goal was to find a font that looked like the plaster on the wall was chipped out leaving the text in a lighter, former wall color. It’s another thing that probably could be improved once I get some time. I tried a few other ideas, like the sticky note, and they just didn’t look right above the cork board. Why would someone stick something to the wall above a cork board? So that’s why I went with the chipped plaster idea. Like the sidebar, once I get some more time to play with the design I’ll work on the title graphic. But thank you for your critique and I don’t find it “niggly” by any means!

In reply to: Corked 2.0: Personal Blog Redesign@u6crash: Thanks. Regarding the sidebar width, it does seem a bit wide on the main page. You’re right that it looks like it’s missing something. Problem is that shrinking it would take the notecard out of proportion to the paper, and I want to try and keep it all in line. I am, once I get a bit more time, going to try and add a bit to the front page sidebar to try and fill the space. I want it to all follow the theme so it’s not going to be easy, but something like a calendar would look nice I think. We’ll see how it goes.

@kamitty: thanks for the praise.
@davebyers: what text do you find too small? All text is at browser normal with smaller fonts, for the most part, at 85% browser normal. thank you for your comments!

In reply to: Auto news siteNice content. The white background behind the sidebar links and the search seems a bit out of place considering it doesn’t span or even connect to each other. Other than that, it’s clean and easy to read.

In reply to: Redesign and new posts @ Jerico SystemsThe mouseover is pretty nice, but it’s a little distracting on the entry excerpts. Also, the excerpts need some sort of … or (continued) or something at the end to designate them an excerpt, something other than the mouseover. It just looks odd to me with the text ending mid-sentence without warning.
Other than that it’s a very clean, modern looking site. I like it.
