In reply to: Beautiful WordPressThe header graphic is nice, but overall it’s very busy and hard to find anything. You’ve got what looks to be a ton of content, but it’s all very jumbled together.
Also, the image links you have that take you to categories… I would either have a generic page they link to if there are no posts there or not post them until there is content. When I clicked on Cowboy Bebop I got a 404 error.

In reply to: Brand New RedesignI’ve muted the background to about a 45% opacity over white. Does this improve readability?
I’m not sure if I’m sold on the sidebar implementation. I like the tag cloud but not necessarily the colors. Any suggestions?

In reply to: Brand New RedesignHum, alright. Would increasing the opacity on the white bubbles and toning down the opacity on the colored bars improve readability?
I really appreciate all of your comments and help here.

In reply to: Brand New RedesignThe background is still too much even though it’s toned down with the opacity on the post “bubbles?”
As for the comments, I have allowed them in the past, but I kind of let the blog die over the last year or so and am trying to bring it back. I’ll add the comments back in due time.

In reply to: Brand New RedesignOdd that’s it’s not outputing correctly in Firefox 2 but it is in Firefox 3. I’ll look into that.

In reply to: Brand New RedesignWhat browser are you using so I can address that? I’ve checked using Firefox 3 and Safari 3 on Mac, and IE 6 on Windows and can’t reproduce that look.

In reply to: is_home not functioning at allIt looks like the query_posts comment is throwing everything off but I can’t get the included loop to work without it… I’m stuck.

In reply to: Need a Calendar PluginThanks for the suggestion and to Kieran for helping with the SQL error. This is a great little script.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Need a Calendar PluginThis looks great, but on the calendar page I get nothing but Database errors:
WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘(‘2007-04-1′,event_end) ORDER BY event_id’ at line 1]
SELECT * FROM wp_calendar WHERE event_recur = ‘W’ AND ‘2007-04-1’ >= event_begin AND event_repeats != 0 AND (event_repeats*7) >= DATEDIFF(‘2007-04-1’,event_end) ORDER BY event_idWhen I first went into manage the plugin it told me the table had been created. Is there something else it needs to do?
