I tried to circumvent the issue by installing the “search shortcode” plugin, instead of the search box I was hoping for it just puts [search form] there.

I just did, and it showed absolutely nothing. I set it to save to the error log, but nothing.

I’m using the default WordPress search widget.

As for the theme, it’s a paid theme, from https://uuatheme.org/ I still have the problem when I switch to the themes that came with WordPress, however.

That’s because I found the problem, another plugin was interfering with it. Unfortunately, in rooting out the issue, I messed something else up. None of it is Mega Menu’s fault. The bottom menu is now messed up. The theme only supports one menu, but I had managed to make it support both of them, but can’t remember how.

Okay, I will do that. Thank you. I don’t understand why it isn’t working, though.
