In reply to: [Hueman] Great Looking Theme but too Unstable for meJust an update on this, regarding the support from the company rather than a any moderator comments…
Nicolas, the owner of the theme & company has contacted me directly regarding my initial support ticket and my initial response back and he has gone out of his way to get this resolved.
He has refunded my purchase cost even though I am way outside of the trial period, and has started work on a clone of the site to investigate all the issues I noticed, so full marks to him.

In reply to: [Hueman] Hueman Themes have BOOTSTRAP conflictJust an update because otherwise this looks like my shout for help is being ignored, but it’s not. Nicolas (the CEO) has contacted me directly, refunded my purchase cost even though I’m beyond the trial period, and I have created a clone on a test site and he is working on the issue. So full marks to him.

In reply to: [Membership 2] Excellent Free Version – it’s a shame Pro is so expensive[@ reference removed]
Am good thanks, wish you also.
Yes I saw the free membership trail which is excellent but don’t have the income to continue it yet. You do great work and when I get my site working I would like to go multisite so will keep the 30 day option until such time I can give it justice to try it all out because you have some great developments.
If you ever change your subscriptions and have a $20 a month single plugin option then please let me know, I for one will be very much interested. I noticed WPMU had worked fast to resolve a theme conflict with Membership 2 so appreciate that very much as a potential customer to un-said theme. So fully appreciate your work, would sincerely like to get the Pro version to get direct support, as you’re already doing a great job supporting us free version users, feels only fair enough, credit where credit is definately due.
Keep up the good work,
John

In reply to: [Hueman] Great Looking Theme but too Unstable for meHi Jan (@jdembowski),
Apologies but I don’t understand where I was promoting another premium theme. that’s not in my review, I have only mentioned the conflicting plugin oh an WC by mistake but only as a time reference, can you please highlight where i have promoted another premium theme, I don’t remember putting any reference on this public forum of another theme, although I have on a closed support site, but that is private and for comparison purpose.
Are you saying I mentioned the other theme in this review, must admit I don’t remember it…? Have been busy trying to re-design my site for a generic them in the meantime, this bug/issue/conflict has really messed my site up and wasted a lot of time because I used a lot of the extra’s that Hueman provided, unfortunately other themes don’t have such extras and so it’s been a bit of a pressurised weekend. Apologies for any offence, just a little bit fed up of the first response back and realised then I may have to swap. Now the optimiser is playing up as well but am sure that is a seperate issue, but means I can’t now use the Hueman theme even without the offending Bootstrap script because the really good custom header is all messed up. I have updated to WordPress 4.9 but will need to investigate more.
Thanks for the guidance, I will try and remember.
Regards
john

In reply to: [Hueman] Great Looking Theme but too Unstable for meHello Jan (@jdembowski)
Many thanks for the input, duly noted, but not too sure about your comment about me promoting something else. THat’s definately not the case. I haven’t mentioned a competitor theme nor would I, just a specific issue that I honestly thought review readers (like me when looking to pay for reviewed products) should be aware of. My reviews was pro the theme, but maybe I didn’t make that clear enough.
I gave the theme 5 stars because it’s a fantastic theme, and I am in obvious support of the theme, otherwise I would have given it 1, but I didn’t.
So yep, many many Apologies, I didn’t realise it was promoting anything.
Just trying to highlight two issues with it with an honest review, praise where earn’t, and details where there is an issue.
The conflicting/conflicted plugin is not a theme, so no competition here.
Theme designers are caught in the middle, they need to respect plugin code base that has been there before their theme, and make an effort not to step on other peoples work. And also provide effective resolution for paying customers and supporters of said theme.
But sometimes mistakes and typos happen, we all know that. But then that’s where the actions taken to fix it are important. And in this case the resolve action was to advise me that my basic support didn’t cover mistakes like this. Hence my report of the facts and the fact that it made me feel that I had to pay for additional premium support before they fix it.
My points where…
1 a conflict with a specific functional plugin that I feel people paying for support of BOTH should be aware of.
2, my paid support did not cover the theme designer to correct any presentation issues of the theme.
Looking back through the reviews, I wish someone had identified there was a conflict with a specific plugin especially when we are talking hundreds of dollars for paid support here.
If this arena only wants positive reviews then yes sorry, I had missed that in the edit notes.
I have opened cases direct with both developers before my review.
And also opened a support ticket here after the negative direct response back hoping for a better response.
Funnily enough, this morning I have just received some helpful attention from another technical support representative of the theme developer, and they want to investigate the issue further.
So hopefully it will now be resolved for me. And also just as importantly resolved so that future customers of the theme benefit from a fix and do not have to go through this…
I would hope that someone else will do the same when they find conflicts and issues for plugins and themes that i may buy in the future, because then it will help everyone, after all this is a community led development so we all have to work together to ensure happy customers all round.
Although I am happy to update the review if you wish, you are welcome to just remove it as moderator if you think it is unjust.
But it was meant as an honest an openly positive review with the discovered caveat, I didn’t think not to name it to be honest – can’t see why I would want to hide a discovered theme conflict from anyone.
Sometimes you got to balance a 5 star rating with some downside facts. Maybe I got it wrong???
But as said, the theme developer is now revisiting my ticket, so full marks to them, and I’ve been offered a refund if I am still not happy.
The theme is great as I have said, but unusable at present for me until fixed, and I will help them with any info they need.
I Can’t think what else I can do to give a balanced review with 5 stars other than leaving a 1 star rating with said comments, but then that would not have been the truth or fair to the theme developer who have created a fantastic theme, which I absolutely love.
I gave 5 stars, because the theme is great, so am pro the theme. Credit where credit is due!!!
The rest of the comments are the customer service I received from the developer with an issue with the specific plugin, is this the part I should have left out?
Kind Regards,

In reply to: [Membership 2] Compatibility issue with Divi themeOooops, I got the same problem but with Elegants Extra Theme and just asked for a refund…
Thanks for posting this because I really liked the theme.
I will try this and see if it will fix it because I don’t want to replace Membership 2 because it’s so good.
Hopefully Elegant Themes will update their plugin soon, thanks for the work Nastia.
John
Hi @anticosti,
Appreciate the help but I am done having to fix intermittent issues.
I have installed Formidable Forms instead and am rebuilding my forms with Formidable Forms & WPMU’s Membership 2 for content protection & subscriptions and then it’s all sorted on known stable plugins that won’t dissappoint MY PAYING Customers with much more flexible big business functionality built in too as a bonus, unfortunately it will cost me an extra $99 for the privilegde but worth it.
I already use both for business clients but I gave WPUF & Dokan a try from Wedevs for my own sites but now it’s about to go live I can’t risk the intermittent instability issues that will make my Paying Customers hold me to blame for lack of service.
Personally, I think WPUF is a great product but imho maybe only for hobby sites purely because until they get their updating more inline with WordPress’ philosophy of being able to get auto-updates without risk to client sites then I’m afraid I don’t want to carry on using it as a paying customer for my paying customers.
I may put up with it on personal sites that are just blogs with no paying customers that want good service, but then blogs don’t really need forms with payment processing so not too sure if I will ever use this again to be honest.
Thanks anyway, all the best, good luck with WPUF, but I’m OUT.
Regards
JohnThanks @itowhid06 but actually no it does not help, and you obviously don’t understand the impact that your ineffectual pre update testing has.
The all in one account page looks old fashioned and has not been designed as responsive and so looks bad on a mobile device.
YES!, I know I can call the subscriptions action from the account page using the ?URL but it still brings up the left hand menu for all 4 account pages, so it is useless, because this site IS FOR My Customers, it is NOT a HOBBY site, and so I don’t do workarounds for my Visitors that are My Customers that are paying me for a service that I need to deliver, this site is my portfolio site.
If I give them a workaround then I will get bad site ratings and lose my customers. I chose WPUF over Formidable Forms because I liked some different features and lower cost base for clients. But that should not be at the cost of system or site instability.
I think it’s about time I give up on WPUF just as I did with DOKAN because of continual upgrade issues causing bugs or changes that have been done that changes functionality without warning causing loss of service.
I am an IT Professional and I am risking my business by using & recommending your product when you can’t sort out an upgrade bug that you have introduced for a premium plugin that I am paying for, it’s like I’m paying for my site to be regularly brought down? like WTHell???.
I have actually paid for the premium versions of both DOKAN & WPUF, but from the service I have been getting it doesnt feel premium to me. I apologise now for my straight talking, but I am a paying customer, but am not being treated like one.
So it’s time to switch sides and support another company that gives better customer service, and yep, I may still use WPUF on my hobby sites, but I sure as hell won’t be paying for it anymore!
Formidable Forms has what I need, so will be changing my Personal Venture site over to them just as I do for my WordPress Client sites. You will be receiving my review in a few weeks of both of your plugins and all the extras that I have wasted my money on over the last 8 months trying to get my site to work properly.
I can only suggest you control your RC rollout a bit better in the future, and get some real dedicated UAT testers in rather than releasing what seems like untested code onto an unsuspecting WordPress community that expects a little bit more than auto-updating time bombs, maybe just talking for myself here, but to say that I am not a happy customer of Wedevs would be an understatement.
Thanks @rabbii,
Unfortunately the [wpuf_sub_info] is still not working.
I need the [wpuf_sub_info] functionality.
I don’t use [wpuf_account] page because it’s non-responsive and doesn’t fit my theme and I don’t like the retro styling.
[wpuf_sub_info] used to provide exactly what I needed, will this be put back please?
Me too, it’s totally destroyed my site. There’s an issue with subscription packs not being displayed, subscription info is also NOT being displayed. The new payment per form has randomly allowed some forms to be posted and others not. And although I managed to work out the action to create a subscription for the admin user, the subscription info has dissappeared from the admin profile. All the changes have not been documented enough for me to change settings after the upgrade and my site is now useless because I can’t post anything using WPUF because NO ONE can subscribe to the subscriptions because they are not showing. And no one can post because every use gets message, Post Limit Exceeded for your purchased subscription pack. But because subscription packs are not displayed, I can’t get past the problem. No one cab buy a subscription pack. And the backend profile cannot be used to add a subscription pack by admin any more.
