Thanks so much for the reply. Once I get the site moved and the domain name changed over to point to the new host, all the addresses on the new site will be the same as with the old site. Am I correct that I wouldn’t need to do step 2, then (since the domain name will be the same after the move)?

I’ve never done SQL dumping and importing before, so could you please let me know if these are the correct steps? I will be using phpMyAdmin to work with both databases. I will:

    1) Follow the instructions here to do a full export of my original database: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Backing_Up_Your_Database and save that file to my local system.

    2) Download the full original site’s files to my local system using FTP.

    3) Upload all those files to the new host using FTP.

    4) Follow these instructions to import the saved database file into the new host database: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup

Is that the correct sequence? And am I right in thinking that this method will maintain my directory structure, as well as the attachment links between media and posts, etc? Essentially I’ll end up with an exact copy of the original site onto the new server?

Thanks again for the help, and I’m sorry if these are very elementary questions. It’s the first time I’ve done this sort of thing ??

I found the problem. I went through and deactivated my plugins one by one, and when I got to the DiggIt plugin, it fixed the problem. So I guess there’s some incompatibility between DiggIt and 2.5.1.

At the top of the post, there should be a photo of the Rorschach bust (a guy in a trench coat and hat). That’s working and showing up for me. Below that is the text content of the post, all of which shows up correctly for me. Below that, just before the ShareThis link, there’s supposed to be an inserted gallery with 7 photo thumbnails. It was showing up correctly for me when I was under 2.5, but after upgrading to 2.5.1, I’m now just seeing the text “[gallery]” where the thumbnails should be.

All of this is via the default Media features; I’m not trying to use additional plugins or anything. I’ve just used the Media feature on the post to upload 7 pictures, and then I’ve hit the “Insert gallery into post” button from the Media window that pops up when I’m editing the post.

    Thanks again.

Thank you very much for clearing that up for me. I’ve been beating my head against the wall for a couple of days over this. I’ll keep an eye out for a plugin. Thanks again!

I still haven’t found a soultion to this one. Can anyone please give me some help or at least point me in the right direction?

I’ve been hammering at this off and on all night and have gotten no results. I see some other people have similar issues, so I thought I’d check back and see if anybody has resolved this today.

Anybody have any ideas on how to get “Read More” working in the RSS feeds?

Hi, I was just wondering if you’d been able to resolve this or had gotten help, as I’m having the same problem with my own blogs.
