I have also noticed Google displaying longer descriptions, is this a short term test or has they officially announced that they are allowing longer meta descriptions?

I have this problem too, when post/pages are globally set to noindex section in ‘Titles and Metas’ the Yoast SEO meta box disappears.
I placed a support request last week but had no reply.

Also, why does the XML sitemap list pages that are set to noindex? Is this best practice for SEO?

Apologies, my technical knowledge is limited on this issue. I’ve therefore disabled php-fpm in order to remove the Wordfence warning message, and I’ll create a new topic to try and properly resolve the problem.

I have the same issue, and it’s taken me sometime to find that having php-fpm enabled caused the warning message ‘To make your site as secure as possible, take a moment to optimize the Wordfence Web Application Firewall:’.

I don’t have the technical expertise to fix this myself so should I:
1) Disable php-fpm and lose the benefits.
2) Keep php-fpm enabled and ignore the Wordfence warning message, if so what protection will this compromise?

Will this issue be resolved in a future update of Wordfence?

Hope the issue can be resolved, it looks a good plugin but the support doesn’t seem to have been active for over a month now.

Hi, I’m having the same issue, but after checking and all options and Googling the issue, I’m resigned to the fact that it’s not currently possible and will just have to delete the item and recreate it. ??

Hi, I’m also using Siteground and get the same php7 warning messages as NolymitContact. Please could you provide more information regarding this and whether it is safe for us to upgrade to php7, thanks.

Just to update, I contacted Site Ground technical support and recieved the following response:
“No, it (Zendesk Chat Plugin) will not work. Some WordPress plugins are not supported on php 7”

Please can you clarify this, as I’ll need be looking for an alternative plugin thats guaranteed to run on php7, Thanks

Hi Pim and Yani,
I want to create a wordpress installation for distribution purposes that users can install on their sites but without overwriting their existing plugins, posts, pages etc. Yani mentions that the latest version will do this, but Pim recommends installing in a clean configuration. I’m assuming that this should work correctly but that it isn’t guaranteed to work in all cases. Should I just do thorough testing to see if this will work correctly for me. Thanks.
