This last information was very helpful so I went into a menu that the prior employee had already created which was “About Us” and then selected which items I wanted under that “parent” clicked “Primary menu “under “theme location” at the bottom and then clicked “save menu”. I then went onto the live site to see how it worked and it worked perfectly. I then chose another existing menu to change on the existing menu headings on the website and added the pages I wanted on it BUT when I went to see it on my live site the previous menu I had saved “About Us” was REPLACED by the last one I just created which was “Academics”. To make matters worse ALL of the prior menu headings they had on their primary menu site AND all of the pages in their multi-level menus are GONE! The only thing on the primary menu is the last one I put on “Academics” because each time I add another menu the previous ones disappear! I am in big trouble now because I did not back up the website. Help!

James, Since I did not set up this website and know practically nothing about WordPress could you walk me through what you are explaining? I went into “appearance” and then “customize” in the menu selection and in the left sidebar it says I am customizing St Joseph School, and below that is says my theme is Canvas and below that I see the word “menu”. What do I do after that??
