For v4.6.6, the changelong says, “Quick banning IPs will now work correctly if existing htaccess rules are in place.” Sounds great, right?
Unfortunately, when I click “Save Settings” in iTheme Security, it now CONSISTENTLY wipes all my custom rules from htaccess. For four sites, it made htaccess completely blank; for one, it added a bazillion banned users (in addition to deleting all my custom rules). The bazillion thing wasn’t necessarily bad, just a new development.
I see this in the changelog for the most recent version:
Fix: .htaccess file modifications now function as expected when changing settings.
Fingers crossed this fixed our problem. So far so good.

In reply to: [Multiple Category Selection Widget] can't select more than 1 categoryI eventually figured out my new firewall was blocking results from more than one category. I deleted the offending line in my firewall, and Multi Cat worked again.

In reply to: [GD Star Rating] Star Ratings appear top of postSounds like you might have “Auto insert rating code” checked in the Settings (on the Articles page)? If so, turn all the auto inserts off, and then insert ratings blocks, etc. anywhere you want in each post with shortcodes. To get to the shortcodes, click the star button in your editing toolbar when you have a post in edit mode.

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] slideshow errorWow, after some trial and error, apparently it’s the WP Google Analytics 1.4.0 plugin causing the problem. Slideshow runs fine when that plugin is deactivated.

In reply to: Can’t Install/Upgrade Plugins Through WordPressI had the same problem with my new site, which for some reason I set up on a Windows server on GoDaddy instead of Linux. Two days ago I switched it from Windows to Linux (still on GoDaddy), and all those problems went away.
This guys explains the simple/easy/pretty quick switch: https://rockettscience.com/2007/07/17/wordpress-linux-windows-and-godaddy/

In reply to: [Plugin: Collapsing Categories] Wrong CursorMe too. With v1.1.1,when using the HTML characters I get a text cursor when hovering over the HTML characters. I can use the +/- images in v1.1.1.
With the development version, I also get a text cursor when hovering over the HTML characters. And worse, when I try to use “images,”
– in Firefox, instead of a character I get the word “expand,” and I also get the text cursor when I hover over “expand.”
– in IE8, I get an empty box instead of a character. The cursor is the pointer when hovering (not the finger).
– in Chrome, I get the missing image symbol/box, and the pointer cursor.
