Okay, never mind. I was getting an error because I have it installed locally on my Mac, and I had to chown things to _www. Followed the instructions in this: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/57166/ftp-credentials-on-localhost
Actually, I went in and chmodded everything to 777, and I still get the same error.
I have made the plugins directory writable, as well as the Developer folder. I’m still getting this error. Am I missing any other folders to make writeable? With my current configuration, I have to be explicit in writability.

In reply to: Stuck on wp-comments-post.php – can’t add commentI’m having exactly the same problem. As far as I can isolate it, it occurs when the page requires the config file. I checked the config file, I’ve played around with it, and I can’t find any problems, so I’m wondering if it’s the settings file instead, but I haven’t had time to narrow it down further.
I’m also having this problem with Permalinks, though it actually makes the change, it just doesn’t show up.

In reply to: Pages broken after 2.5 upgrade, while posts fine?I’ve got the same problem on a site I’m helping a friend with. I tried editing the wp-config file, but that didn’t help. I notice there’s a difference between the existing wp-config file and the sample, namely the collate and the charset options. If I put it to UTF8 on the charset, it actually changes the existing posts, even though they’re supposed to be in UTF-8 as well.
The pages actually are there, showing up under posts. I can’t make new pages or posts, and the pages aren’t marked as posts somehow.
It’s very strange!
